I'm the serious party pooper of this thread but i'm not too big a fan of the 99/01 Cobras. Of course better motor and **** but in stock form looks too similar to a GT.

Well, considering the only thing I don't like about stock GTs is the front bumper which is changed with the cobra, I like it

53k miles on a 9 year old car isn't bad. Mine has 67k

I think all of you keep thinking its like 2005 and not 2009 already.

That is not a lot of miles, but I would pay 14k for that car tops.

2 questions..

What's so significant about 2010?

What's wrong with 05+? Way better interiors, more HP, respond very well to small mods, etc... I mean I know they're a little heavier, but IMHO they're leaps & bouds ahead of for SN95's, at least in the V6 & GT models.

Well..there's no 05-09 Mach 1, the interior's too blocky for me (looks like a truck interior with the dash setup), and none of the $2k+ money's worth of mods I'm saving from my car will work in one....wheels, headlights, audio stuff

And I'm buying a 4v so I'm not worried about how much better the 3v is over a 2v.

Oh, 2010 is significant because that's when I should be able to afford a new car..haha

JMHO, I wouldn't get a 4V unless you got one hell of a deal.. The uncertainty of fuel prices is enough for me to think twice about that.. I've found one Mach that I would buy tomorrow if I sold my car today, but it is insanely cheap with majorly low miles.. Just don't like the idea of 93 being over $4/gal. again.. Which could happen at any time.

Well, 93 octane is usually no more than 20 cents higher than 87 octane..which is what maybe 2-3 bucks more per fill up? Not really much of a difference

And a 2v car with FI needs 93 octane anyway...lol

Where did you hear that a 2v needs 93 octane? I guess maybe with different # injectors and a tune, but not stock.. Not that I've ever heard anyway.

Haha, I was looking at that one too. Wonder if the paint's fucked up behind that gay decklid panel though.

You mean the blackout panel? I doubt it, looks like it's been garage kept to me..

Not until my car is sold.. If I can get my car sold I'll be allllll over it, not gonna be stuck with two cars.

Hey, Im man enough to apologize if you didnt mean anything by that, but I took it as a major stab at the s197's...which again, there is no comparison. The 01 Cobra is pretty much neck and neck in the 0-60 and 1320; not bad for an 01, but it's a Cobra. It should be fast. Would I take an 01 Cobra? Hell yes. I just don't like to be poked and prodded. Again, apologies if that is not what you were getting at.
