from v6-4 maybe selling the stang.
i was thinking of selling my mustang and getting a lancer evo 8 or 9 maybe a WRX STI.
i just need a car thats fun to drive has good power that can still drive in the snow. and lets face it the v6 is any thing but fast...
i don't know if im going to sell it yet but i have had it for 3 years and have enjoyed it most of the time.
so what do you guys think evo, WRX STI or some thing else

Anyway, don't get an STI. Last summer a buddy of mine and his girlfriend died in an STI. Tons of fun to drive, sure...crap safety.

Those little 6's are pretty good..
A car that is overlooked - the new eclipse's v6 models.
Will take a stock GT
Would hang with my car on the bottle
Front wheel drive
Cheaper on insurance than a evo or sti
Still fun to drive.
Cheaper period as far as cost goes.

BTW, My insurance is only about $15-20/mo. less with my R/T then it will be for a s-197 GT, so the difference isn't much.
IMHO, don't get an import.. If you're really a Mustang guy, you'll regret it. I liked my new car a lot when I got it and for the first 6-8 months, but now I hate it.. Maybe you should look into getting a cheap little pickup for the time being and get back into a Mustang in the next year or so.

Idk Ive always like the suburas. I was looking on auto trader and you can get a used one for a pretty reasonable price. I say keep your stang. no point in having a car note when you have a perfect good car even if it is slow.

I think stock for stock, it would come down to a drivers race. Plus front wheel drive sucks compared to rear wheel or all whell.

I guess you're talking about the Spyder model? My car is basically a Spyder minus the turbo.. It will kill any stock v6 mustang, but hangin' with GT's, i'm not sure about that.. MAYBE pre-'05 GT's, but I'm pretty sure even the SN's would get my car on top end.

06 Eclipse GT V6 - fast little thing.
And yea, it would hang with my car ON NITROUS. 6spd manual transmission.. 3.8 liter v6,
Horsepower (hp @ rpm): 263 @ 5,750
Torque (lb-ft @ rpm): 260 @ 4,500
^ Specs on that Eclipse.

OR...you could spend $4500 on your V6, get a TMA turbo kit, and build your rear end, and not have to worry about your car not being 'fun' to drive anymore.
Sure, it won't be a 'cool' car with the kids these days, but it'll be a fast V6 Mustang, which isn't common, which IMO would be more fun than an STI or Evo since those are supposed to be the omg-mega-pwnz import tuner cars.

yeah but it will still suck in snow....

or just make your stang AWD just for the hell of it. Expensive? yes. Badass? Hell yes.

Negative! Get some good skinny tires for winter driving (sumitomos are not) and put some sandbags in your trunk, or buy a hooptie.

i got a quote on a 06 evo MR the insurance would be around 160 a month with full coverage, not bad for 17.lol
#27
Would you like some butter for that rice?
$160/mo isn't too bad, that's what I'm paying for full coverage right now.

I'd probably get one of these for a DD after I'm out of school and have the mach1 all hopped up on boost. lol

Supra's are sweet. Nothing rice about it unless you make it rice. Friend had one and the thing was quick, looks good too.
