MB Recruiter Cards - Opinions?
So I'm thinking about making some recruiter cards for this place. Opinions?
We've got quite a few regulars, but I think we need to get some new members, maybe get some new questions and really try to expand this place. What do you guys/gals think?
I can make a couple hundred cards for like $15, I just wanted to see what you guys think.

I found a deal an hour ago where you can get 1k business cards for free. You just have to pay for shipping.
No, they don't put their logo on it or anything. It's completely legit.

This idea has come up before. We need this site looking better before we try to recruit ppl in my opinion. Probably the shittiest looking layout of all the forums I've seen lol. Coolest ppl and great info, but first impression is a killer. The old silver saleen layout looked good, sucks it was lost and sucks we don't have the power to let Kevin take over the layout now. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, this is the only forum I'm on really (other than M1R)....So with the Recruiter Cards I was hoping to get more mustangs in state/town to join. I know we've got two guys in town with SN95 Saleens, another guy with a Mach1, and a guy I've seen around in a yellow GT with the full stalker kit so I thought the next time I see there cars (should they not be around) I could leave a recruiter card. Maybe give Chris and Jon some too to give to people on the other side of the state too, maybe.

We need people who like to have fun and joke around, but at the same time can give serious and helpful advice. A lot of the new members who have come and gone so quickly were not so good in the helpful area.

We central Florida people have discussed this amongst ourselves before. I'm completely with Sean and Dustin on this one. No point in spending any amount of money making cards to draw people here unless we make it more visually appealing. For now, we should stick to just word of mouth, or telling people on forums about us.
And in regards to what 00blkstanggt said, I agree with that as well. But the problem with that is out of 10 new people we get to sign up here, maybe 3 will give some helpful advice in regards to technical issues. However, out of those 3, maybe only 1 will actually know what the hell he is talking about. While the other 2 are internet mechanics who damn sure like to boast about how smart they are and how they can turn the **** out of a wrench, but can't wipe their own *** in real life.

I agree that we should get this place to be more visually appealing first, but we don't have a ton of control there. I don't know how often the site admins are checking up on this place now that the updates are done.

Me, too. I've actually learned quite a bit since I joined and continue to do so every day.
