Default Ready for Spring!

Just a rant about Ohio's shitty weather. I know, it could be worse, but I am tired of the cold already. Got my Roush springs last week, but cant put them on tiol theres no snow, ice, or salt on the roads, so I can drive it to work. More freezing rain and snow this past weekend, and supposed to get more snow tomorrow night. I did make it outside long enough to spray some WD40 in the lock cylinders, and put some silicone on the door weatherstripping, as my doors have froze shut several times. Anyone else ready for some warm weather?

Yea same here in Missouri. After college I'm definitely moving to Texas, Florida, or somewhere warm....I hate this snow and salt. Mainly because it ruins the car, chrome wheels, and my car is ALWAYS dirty...

OP, i had to drive to Akron on saturday morning. sure enough, my black Mazda didn't make it though unscathed. cracked bumper, missing grille, and left blinker light is popped out. going through the I-80 turnpike, i lost it because of some ice, and i couldn't recover. i was only going about 45 though. but yeah...

I WANT WARM WEATHER!

I'd love to move, but my whole family is here. Ohio is perfect in the summer, but too damn cold in the winter. About this time every year, I wonder why the hell I'm here.

Dave, thats uncool. LOL You know you'll pay for that in about what, July or August? I know it gets hot there. I lived in Florida for 10 years, and it was just to freakin' hot.

As for salt and cars, I am fortunate enough to live in a town that cant afford salt, so I don't have to worry about that. Hell, we might not have a police dept. before long.

Leonide- That sucks about your Mazda, but at least it wasn't the blue car. The Probes my beater and work car. My tires are new, but I quickly found out their not the best choice for snow. It'l be interesting to see how much snow we get tonight/tomorrow.

Well, when I got it, it had Firestone Firehawks that had definately seen better days. They had cupped enough that it sounded like a damn truck going down the road. The Firehawks though, except for wearing out quick, are a handling tire! I just put BFG G-Force sports on the Probe, and in the snow are a little better than the Firehawks...Not nearly as much as you'd expect though. A couple times lately with the freezing rain, I have dropped the tire pressure some, and it does seem to help. It's a hard tire.

Mileage wise, I've never really figured it, but it doesn't do too bad. It does make quite a difference in how you drive it though. I know thats pretty much the case in general, but it makes a big difference.

Weather is gonna get worse this week. Massive cold front coming from Canada. By Friday it will be COLD everywhere from the midwest to the southern states. Friday's highs in NC are expected to be in the 30's and low's in the teens with a nice wind chill on top of that.

We suffer here in the south when you northern states let your gaaddam cold air leak out and make us freeze too. 30 degrees for a high in the south will kill people in my state.. Damm. it's 35 here right now with no wind and I'm cold even with my heat on 72 degrees.. I just hope it doesn't snow here. 1 inch of snow here causes most of the city to shutdown.
