Default American Muscle Homepage

Just noticed that the new american muscle homepage no longer has a forum link to anything at all. What gives? There is fine print at the very bottom that says:
Please check out our resource center for this and other important information. And if you're looking for discussion on Mustang auto parts or other Mustang upgrades, join our partner site, Mustang Forums."
And that last bit is a link. TO MUSTANGFORUMS!?!?!?!? Not us, AGAIN.

Dustin (Spike) already started a thread about this. BlackSunshine pointed out how the new forum button has been relocated to the bottom of the page.

Just noticed the other thread in the sponsors section. Regardless, there is still that link in the fine print that leads them away from us lol.
Feel free to close this mods.

I've got to say, I kinda like the new layout more than the last one. But I think that the new setup will make it harder to get new folks around here.

I think we need to have business cards made with the forums name and referrer and hand them out to all mustang owners we see and start getting some new blood to the boards.

I've actually done that myself. I work around a ton of guys who drive mustangs and all I ever talk about is this forum and how it's even set as my homepage. I think the business cards are a great idea though.

You mean like get rid of them or something? We don't harass people who don't post much this isn't russia lol. I really wish the site would grow more as well. I try spreading the word as much as I can.

Well can we get admin approval on cards then? It seems like we'd all like to see the site grow more. Vista Print is a company I've used for business cards before, and they're very reasonable price wise. It's free except for shipping which varies depending on where you're at, and it costs a little extra for a custom design. But I think it's no more than like $12 shipped when it's all said and done and that's for 500, I think.

I think we need the layout changed before we go handing out cards trying to gain members. Honestly, if the layout was like this when I first found this forum I probably would have figured it was a shitty forum based upon the bland, corny looks and would have found another one elsewhere. That old silver Saleen layout made it more professional looking and probably brought in more users. This forum is full of cool ppl and infinite help and good info. The current layout just doesn't look like it would upon first glance, first impression isn't great by most im sure, untill they actually dig in and find out what this site is all about and how great it really is.

I agree. But who has the layout controls? We'll just bombard them with PM's until he/she/they decide to finally change it.

I got admin controls working now. My next goal is to figure out what I have to do to change the forum layout.

WOOO HOOOO!

Even though my car is not in that banner, I still think it looks sick. The best banner I've ever seen for a car forum, hands down.

I'm sure Pcola could change some of the cars out and put some of the newer members in. Because some of the ppl in the banner don't even post here anymore.
