How much are you paying for insurance?
I'm sorry I didn't see a topic on here for this. I would like to know how much ya'll are paying for insurance. I know I know, it all depends on age, location, driving record, etc. But I just would like to know to see the majority. Right now for a 97 F150 4.6l V8 I'm paying about 600 every six months, and I'm 20. What do you think it would be raised up to if I owned a New or Used mustang?
|
it depends on the insurance coverage you get to, but on a newer mustangs i think it will go up a lot.
on the older ones not as much. |
up up up..the newer the car the more expensive the insurance. the younger the person the higher the insurance.

on the older ones not as much. All in all it just depends on your circumstances, tickets, number of cars in your household, multiple policies and ofcouse your credit scores. Easiest way to find out, call your agent and give them a VIN. Oh yeah, I pay about $475/6mo. for my '03 Stratus R/T. Then again I am my own agent so I have tweaked a few things, my insurance on my own would be about $700 +/- 6mo. -- 21 Years old, No tickets or Accidents. |
I pay like ~1000/6 months for my cobra, full coverage and $500 deductible. This was only like $150 more every six months over my sixer, so completely worth it, since my sixer was slow and had lots of miles(95k) and this one is much faster and just last week hit 25k on the clock.

2005 Mustang GT - $110 a month
1993 4-banger Mustang - $80 a month, but my dad pays for it. He drives the car more than I do, so he buys the gas and pays the insurance. We go half on any repairs. That is my deal with him. :) |
all of the ones that told me what they are paying a month isnt as high as what i thought it would be, then again it all depends on how it is etc.

I WAS paying 175 a month for
2002 Saturn SL2 1984 Honda Civic 2004 Mustang GT Homewonders insurance But my mustang was only running me 85 bucks a month, that is to have her insured with myself, and my wife who has a sr-22 on her licence for getting busted several years ago without insurance. lol... |

You live in Fla. right Venom? Risk with hurricanes, etc is extremely high there. For example, I pay about $500/yr for my homeowners insurance... Average 30+ folks are paying between $2-400 for full coverage insurance /6mo. Just crazy stuff man.. :)

Whats funny is that my nieghbor pays $3,000 for his property that is worth a little less than mine. If he decides to sell that home the new homeowner will have to pay what I pay. There is a cap of the amount the state can increase your tax per year however this does not apply to a newly purchased home. The housing boom has cause states to generate more tax revenue at the expense of home owners. Plus states have gone on spending sprees hiring new employees and splurging on wasteful things like more Plam trees. Now since home sales have decreased and many are unable to pay taxes ththe state is crying about lowering taxes since property values have dropped. It sucks but I pay $1000 a month in taxes and insurance for my new house. Thats money I could use to spend elsewhere but instead the state wants to spend it on what they think is needed. This way of thinking should sound familar. The government will always overspend as this provides them with a case for asking for addition funds for next fisical year.

Jesus f'n crap man... my homeowners insurance runs me $23 a month... property tax is 1,500 a year. im sure the fact you live in a part of the nation that may break off and float out to sear before california has something to do with it. lol i dunno, i think i remember you posting a pic of yer house... im pretty sure it is nicer than mine. Mine is a relativly modest 2,200sqft ranch house smack dad in the middle of a mid-middleclass neighborhood. probably does not appraise for more than 1/4 mil. i know your house has to be bigger cause you have that yacht. :D |
Its just a regular 3200sq ft home lol.

Car insurance for my 04 GT, and my wifes 02 Concorde is $1200 a year total for full coverage on both. $50 deductable on both.. Only 2 claims for my wifes car, dent in her door from wind she opened it and a gust sent it into a concrete pole. (nasty dent too), and when her rear winshield mysteriously busted out one evening.. No points on either of us, plus we are late 40's in age with no accidents ever.. This is using Nationwide insurance, and not even Gieco can beat it. Pays to be an old ass safe driver..

My Insurance is 240 a month... 18/Male/V8/ FL *Worst location for Insurance*
