Default making the perfect B&T?

I'm trying to perfect the art known as a Black and tan. So far I've tried a wooden spoon and a bent spoon at level with the Bass. I can't seem to get that perfect cutoff where the guinness meets the bass. any tips or tricks? I've come close, but nothing like this:

Try a better dark beer and its done easier. I like to use some dogfish head 90min IPA for the bottom or sometimes i do a red and dark with some skull splitter on the bottom and top either one off with thomas hardies ale, Celebrator, or a triple dark lager from a local brewery we have here. Guinness to me is a mediocre dark beer.

You obviously have never had Kate the Great.

"I wish it were winter so we could freeze it into ice blocks and skate on it and melt it in the spring time and drink it! "

Fill pint glass half full with Bass Ale.
Have a table spoon handy
Pour Guinness Draught full speed over the back of the spoon. Fill right to the top just proud of the rim of the glass.
Serve to your guests while the Guinness is still cascading.

Other variations are ..
Black and Blue: Guinness with Blueberry ale.
Summer tan: Guinness and Sam Adams Summer Ale.
Black and Red: Guinness and Killian's Irish Red.

The Irish Car Bomb: Guinness and Bailey's Irish Cream liquer poured into a pint glass to about the 3/4 level. Pour a shot of Jameson's Irish whiskey into a shot glass, drop the shot glass into the pint glass and enjoy!

Please drink responibly.. think about what can happen to your 'Stang.
