Please Remember.
Take a moment today. Salute our troops and all of those who lost their lives on 9/11/2001.
I just want to say Thank you to all of the Soldiers, Firefighters and Police officers that post here. You risk your own lives so that we can live in the freedom that we take for granted.
"We Will NEVER Forget."

Good call WNRacing. I will remember that day for the rest of my life.
I woke up that day to my neighbor yelling, a plane it the trade center. So I turned on the news and watched the whole thing unfold. At the time I worked for a California State Legislator, which made the day even more crazy.
First off I'm sitting at home watching the news and I get a call on my cell phone and it was the California Highway Patrol asking if I was ok and where I was. They asked me if I wanted an escort to work and that they would have officers posted outside of our office at all times. I was like ummmmmm.....no, i'm pretty sure I'll be fine and kinda chuckled and then asked how the hell did you get my phone number. The officer just laughed and said "don't worry about it". ha ha ha.
So then I get to my office and there were CHP officers there with freaking machine guns standing by the door. I had to show my Capitol ID plus my drivers license before they would even let me open the door. The next day I was running late and I get a call on my cell phone....guess who! ha ha ha..the CHP. "Sir, are you ok and are you coming into work today"? I just laughed again and said yeah, just running late, and again how did you get my phone number....again he said "don't worry about it".
Anyway, the CHP assigned 1 officer to stay posted at our office for two weeks and the damn dude had a machine gun the whole time. Never really got used to the whole thing, but yes that day was extremely sad and will always think about the poor people who died because of some nut jobs.
