Sometimes its good to get a fast car and make it a bit faster. Like a Cobra with a supercharger+ 6lbs of boost then a Gt with 10lbs of boost to get the same hp #s. How long do you plan on keeping the Blackwood? Being a former SVO owner it will be hard to find parts for that truck in the future.

Dom I was there with my SVO its was fast but when it would break I would hate it because I had to fix it. It was a love hate realationship. I miss the originality as far as looks and it having a 4banger turbo and I really really miss my Blow off valve. Now I love the V8 sound and in the future the whine of a Blower. I think part of your problem is that you are always on the drag strip with drag radials and if you dont do a complete once over with new parts you are always going to have parts breaking. My suggestion is to wait until you get older and have more income. Enjoy life and your beautiful girlfriend,go out and have fun together traveling dont put all your $$$ on the stang or other cars.

well i have just done a complete once over. pretty much, and i HAVE to drive a bad *** machine, so ill probably just finish up the last bit of this stang, enjoy it, and see what happens.

i love it. i figure this, it cant get much worse than a completely blown motor, even if the trans goes. it isnt that bad and bolting on a trans is easier than a bottom end swap. ill hang in there

im definetly keeping my stang. i just drove a 500 rwhp 03 cobra, i fell back in love. its been so long since i drove my car i forgot the feeling. whew. granted, it was a heavy, irs, convertible, stickshift cobra, but none the less, it was sweet. hell ill probably do my heads and get custom cams, p51 intake and more boost over the winter

You are kinda in the same boat as me, not knowing what to do with your car. Im at such a delima, my car has 75000 miles on it, and I know the usual cascade of events that follows with a supercharger, ive seen it too many times. First you pay for the blower, thats 4000, then the bottom end fails, that 3500, then the clutch goes, thats another 500, then the rear end takes a dump, say bye bye to another 1500. Im just not sure I want a blown GT with 450 rwhp with 100k miles on it. So, I think im going to wait until the new cobra comes out, and sell my car and scoop up a used 03 cobra. I mean, come on, with exhaust and a k&N, you got the same 450 rwhp. I love my gt, but im tired of buying stuff that comes stock on an 03. LOL, its just funny to me. But man, I could never go without a stang in the garage. That would drive me nuts. Not being able to at any time, go outside, and start her up...that would be the worst thing ever. Keep the car dom, you have way too much time and money in it now, and Im glad you got to ride in that cobra. Thats what it took for me to realize I wanted a stang instead of a honda...
