Hmm.. May have been a while since they were rotated last and could have been sitting at the dealership for a while, the rims could have a little bit of surface rust on the back. Take a trip to the auto store or Wal*Mart and get some PB Blaster, spray it on the back of the rims and the lugs, let it sit for 10-15 min and tap around the tires with a mallet(sp?) or something like that and they will probably come loose. Unless it has some kind of weird lock washers or something holding them on, that's my only suggestion.

You most likely could just give them a good kick (like pcola said) but you could break one of the lugs if you're not careful..

the ******* g/f. god damn. ive wanted a GT for ever now! my parents finally got me it(financed it for my b-day.27th.) and this friday i'm selling my family member my V6 for 6G and he's making 400mo. payments. so that will be going towards my payments until the V6 is paid off for him. so i get it and go rent a movie, the movie "what happens in vegas" or w/e. and i get to her house and show her the new car and stuff and her mom is cookign and we eat and etc. then turn the movie on (by now it is 5:30pm). her, her mom, and sister all sit down to watch it and it's me and 3 girls(how awkward). so the movie is getting gayer and gayer. so i asked her if i could just go, and i did(i also wanted to get **** done to the car. so i go pickup a friend and we go to my house and we start doing it ( you know how this **** is time comsuming and you want to get it done and etc.) so at 9 she txts me and says "jerk, and etc" then she txts me again saying " that car is just going to get bewteen us" then she txts me again saying " i hope you also make plans for tomrrow(on my b-day) cause i already have so do whatever". now she's turned off ehr phone and i went over there( 12 am btw lol) and she wouldnt answer her window lol.

wtf? she trying to get me on a guilt trip? does she think i'll care about the car more than her? i'd return the car tomorrow for her and also sell the v6 and buy somehting more with fuel economy and also able to drive 365 days a year.

 

Shes defiantly trying to make you feel guilty. Don't give up one of your favorite hobbies (judging by all that was done to your 6er) for a girlfriend. Theirs just too many girls out there man. Shell get over it soon. She should be way more understanding realizing you got a new car and want to play around with it. Seems like shes being selfish and a bit jealous. Only return the car if YOU want to, not because your girlfriend is making you feel bad about your new toy. Just my 2 cents...

 

like i said congrats on the GT but i would of just stuck with the V6 n twin turbo her. i know u have money cuz u just bought a GT and i saw that the Twin Turbo kits for the V6 are less 6g's

and with the twin setup u would be running about 400-600 hp with heads, forged pistons, rings, rods, etc... p/p upper and lower intake manifold.... **** there are alot of **** u could buy with 16g to put on ur V6 to get more than a GT

 

yeah, it is a fav hobbie of mine. no i don't want to take it back, but she didnt have to be like this. if she's gonna be like this tomorrow then f*ck her, i'll go do my own thing too.

 

The way I see it is this- you've got two options...
1) You're young, you think it's "meant to be" or whatever, it won't work out and you'll have a crap story that will put your children to bed in 15 years.
Or option number two
2) Dump her, fix up the car and have an awesome story about your old powerhouse stang that will inspire your kids in 15 years and keep the stang-lovin' going another generation.

on a side note my f*cking louvers went away. me and a friend must have not had them bolted down good enough on the GT and this DodgeRam passed us after riding my *** w/brights on for 10mins. and so i passed him back and as i did i got 1/8th mile of the rode infront of him and next thig i knew my louvers flew off and i saw the front of his truck go up . after we got to where we were heading we took the same road back and i saw it there in the road in like 10 pieces .

 

my wife doesnt even stop me from buying stuff for the stang, all she says is that "i dont want u to street race, only race on the drag strip" im like ok cool so i could buy anything for the stang but just need money, lol

 

Lol. Don't have to dump her for the stang, just saying don't make an impulse decision that isn't in your favor, just to keep her (esp. as drastic as selling your car). Work it out if you can. But keep this event in the back of your mind in the future. How selfish she was being.

Your GT looks good man. Sure you can make your sixer a fast car but unless you're gonna go to the strip all the time, why bother. V-8 stock 04 has plenty of get up and go and they sound better too. You don't need to be getting tickets for trying to outrun the next guy anyway. Just drive your GT like a normal person and enjoy. If G/F has a problem with that, then man up and say "I'll call ya later, if I get done working on my car".

My wife calls my car "my girlfriend". Anytime I do something to it.. She knows I love my car, and accepts it. She actually told me to go ahead and get it lowered if I wanted too. Man, at 1st she was all against messing with a new car. But that was back in 04, LOL.

Anyway. you gotta love the difference with a GT. I would think..

 

hell yeah the 04GT has hella more power than my 6'er did. tomorrow me and my friend are gonna go run them(me in the GT(stock) ) and him in my old 6(that has 4.10's, posi, tuner, and dual exhaust). ha.

the difference in the throttle response is great. i love it. i fell in love with it when i went and started it on the lot and revved it( it sounds damn good for stock, way louder than the 6).

 

Don't you ever do stupid **** like selling your car which your passion over a stupid girl. I have had many g/f who couldn't handle the fact that I love cars and I just let them go. You don't need the stupid **** from them. There are millions of girls out there.

I'd make him pay for all that crap. I can see why your gf is pissed. You went over to watch a movie with her and half way through you just said I'm going to go. Of course she's gonna be pissed.
