Default Anyone use Garmin GPS products?

well i picked up a nuvi 260 the other day and im trying to register the thing on garmin's website and it seems that anything they mention that can go wrong(when they say 'if this happens then do this' kinda stuff) does go wrong and im gettin frustrated, any input.

If anyone has done this i will go more in depth with my difficulties...

We have a Tomtom here. It's great. Very easy to use and fast enough to get you the next available alternate route. Saved us in a big *** traffic jam last month going to myrtle beach. Got us on some new highway ( not sure which one). And we were smooth sailing instead of stop and go 4 lanes of traffic, with 45 miles left to the grandstrand. Even found our Motel for us.. Plus we got downloaded voices. LOL, Billy bob "slingblade" is hilarious..

we've got the nuvi 660 here and love it. 4.3" screen, easy touchscreen interface, downloadable maps as well as the tons preloaded already, and bluetooth wireless for hands free calling built in. also plays mp3s and has a translator

dont think we registered it over the website though, wife may have but i for sure didnt.
