Apparently they managed to find a dead one and they are getting ready to unveil it as soon as they confirm it is an unknown species.

ANy thoughts on this? Ive always been a bit skeptical, but they have had reports of this stuff from back in the days of the indians..... Bigfoot, Yeti, Sasquatch, The Ohio Grassman, skunk ape, momo, Yowie, the list goes on and on from culture to culture spanning back hundreds and thousands of years.

the only thing is how did we not find proof earlier? especially in heavily populated areas like america.

anyways, it will be interesting to see what happens.

I saw this on our local news station today. Growing up in the far part of northern california we used to hear stories about bigfoot, but I mostly thought it was bs....I'll be interested to see the DNA test and maybe some government agency or University step in to make sure it's legit. Not quite sure I believe it yet.

 

Just thought you should know, I clicked on those links fully expecting one of those old "You are an idiot, hah hah hah hah hah" pop ups to explode all over my screen.

I think it stems from me thinking that anyone who believes in this **** is full of crap. If they really found something... alot of people would have some taking-back to do, myself included.

Heavy populated areas? Jack, just go see the smokey mountains in any state they run through. Believe me there ain't no population there. Yes, there are areas that have some people, but even in the national parks of NC, if you get lost in them woods yer f--ked. Nobody will ever find you. I mean there are thousands of acres that are virtually untouched because you can't get to them. And thats just the parks in NC. Not to mention the wild places nobody has ever seen before. Caves and caverns are abundant all along the appalachians.. I'm sure in the Rockies it's even more desolute. But without all the greenery we have here on the eastern mountains. They go on forever it's seems when your up there.. It will humble you when you see them from just about any lookout..

 

well.. of course some areas are less populated than others.

however, people are marbled through this country just about everywhere, there are some pretty big areas which people dont go to since there are no roads, but it would still be hard for me to believe a sustainable population of bigfeet have managed to go uncaptured this entire time or not have had a corpse found.

I like to think bigfoot exists, but more than anything i think he is not much more real than the toothfairy, alive in peoples imaginations and that is about it.

i oughtta check the net and see how the press conference went...

LOL, imagine that. It might be fake. Kinda like an interview with a crime suspect. The story isn't consistant enough to hold a drop of water. Dam I want Bigfoot, and aliens to be reveiled. That way we can get on with telling everyone, " I knew that **** was fo real man". I saw one before but I didn't tell nobody. LOL..

 

so i heard on the news today that the researchers who bought this frozen "corpse" thawed it out only to find, (cue Dramatic music): a rubber gorilla suit


edit: i just read that one of the guys who perpetrated this hoax is (was) a police officer and will most likely lose his job over this.

 

their going to seriously fire a guy for playing a joke on everybody?!? it's a ******* gorilla suit people! I don't think a man should lose his job over it. If they fell for it, it's their own fault for believing that there is a big foot in the first place.

 

i duno about big foot being anything other then a north/south american hoax. in europe we had never heard of ape men runnin around. it just seems kinda farfetched (sp?) that theres a yeti that goes all over the americas. there have been sightings in canada america and right through south america...yet, there is only one of them?

makes for a really kick *** bed time story i suppose, but ill remain a skeptic for the time being.

welp, i havent had time to follow the story, but i gather it was a hoax after all.

too bad. they did a good job of eliminating any scrap of credibility that bigfoot researchers still possess.
