Default Ill be added to the Mustand Memorial

Well, in 3 weeks the GT will be up for sale as transferring to a different school for fall semester. I don't see the point of garaging it for 8 months out of the year and paying $4.25 a gallon for gas...I just cannot afford it being 19. I guess its just time to be responsible with my money. I've owned 2 mustangs in the past 3 years and I love them, but right now its just not reasonable.

I'll see what happens next spring. Maybe if gas prices go down and I bank some more money I will get a sn95 Cobra, but if thats not the case this its most likely a Ford Focus or something...then it won't be till I graduate to get another Mustang.

There is nothing to be done to change my mind, even my dad wants to for me to keep it.

WTF, this site is going to become alot of past Mustang owners lol. Who's next to walk the plank. And I agree that the new Foci are nice, alot better than the Cobalt or some similar cars.

is your mustang paid off? if it is you will be losing money than saving it. i am 20, go to school 9 months of the year and i garage my mustang. if you dont drive it, you wont be paying 4.xx a gallon for it.

on a side note, where are you transfering to?

Not everyone wants to pay insurance for a car they don't drive though. Gas is cheaper than insurance for a 19 year old on a GT. I came really close to putting mine up for sale and getting a GXSer. But I figured it would take the rest of the summer at least to sell it, so it wasn't worth it.

dude, if the car is paid off, then just keep it. you will be paying more a month if you were to get another car than if you were to keep the mustang and suck up the gas price.

And your going to Mich. State....hehe, your away for the PSU game....hehehe.....

then get a six month plan where you can drive it during the summer months and garage it during the winter months. My junior year im taking all insurance off the mustang for at least a year cause i will be about 4 hours away from home and will have another car that i probably wont need (going to State College, PA)

and as for getting a bike, still trying to convince my mom to let me get one since i am still in her house. i do have my M license though, its a step. lol

Yeah I can't remember if I checked into a plan with my insurance agent or not. My car is pretty useless Nov-March in Michigan anyways. I had two friends buy bikes and have been giving me **** for weeks now to get one. I can't really bring myself to have a bike and a 95' pick up as my vehicles to rely on though. I guess it'll be another thing to look forward to when school is done.

Yeah.... also, im hoping it pans out, but the wife might be making a bit of a jump in the career and pulling in more money, and if she does she will be paying more of the bills (right now i pay them all)

it is something her current boss has in the works that he says would be well worth her time, knowing full well we would have to pay for child care if she worked full time, and he used to run a daycare so he knows how expencive that is.

i have my fingers crossed, i might actually not only be able to keep the stang, but start back on some mods here and there. probably just light stuff like suspension and such.

don't do it, just keep it, reduce the insurance the most basic thing since you wont' be driving it much, then when summers roll around you still have it to cruise in.
You will take a loss on it anyways do to people not really wanting to buy V8's because of the gas, but they just don't understand the joy of driving one! I hate gas prices, but man every time I touch the throttle it just makes me smile!

I to will be added to the Memorial on Thursday. Wife hates the car with a passion and money is tight. I still owe 8900 on her, she has 104k miles and is not the "best" car for two car seats in the back when I need it. I have a guy who is in love with her and is willing to pay 10k for her Im going to miss the **** out of this car, first stang I have ever driven/owned. I have had her three years this month and I will defiantly get another stang in a few years. RIP Gracie

lmao Krazy

My stang has been my DD and just is not sensible for me right now. I live in western NY so I cant fully enjoy the car all year round, and with the miles getting up there I couldnt pass up the $10k offer because looking down the road with having 104K miles on her something big may go i.e tranny, engine etc. that I would not be able to afford to fix. I guess I will have to vicariously live through the board until I can get my **** together again.

yeah I used to get the same thing, but she has finally come around to understanding OUR ( The Car ) relationship.

As long as I make her part of new additions and thing I want to do, she is kewl as long as I involve her. Took a little while to understand that...
