Default Apple Support SUCKS!!!!!!

First off let me say that I was a very pleased customer when it came to my ipods. I've had this ipod for about 2 years. It cost me 300 bucks and I've never had a problem with it till today. I plug it in and it tells me "FireWire connections are not supported. To transfer songs, connect the USB cable provided."

Problem is....I DON'T HAVE A FIREWIRE CABLE. Let alone a firewire port!!!. So I go to the support website and found nothing. My only option is to call which i hate doing because i know that those people use the same website for their answers. So i call and the first guy just tells me that since it's out of warrenty theres nothing he can do. I told him that since it's not on the website why should i be forced to pay 29.95 for something that's not my fault. He tells me that he emailed me some support pages and when i check my email.....the answers have nothing to do with the question i asked.

So i call again and I get a guy who doesn't speak english very well. I explain to him what happend and that he deosn't have to go thru the warrenty **** i just want an answer. And next thing i know....he hangs up on me!!! WHAT THE ****?!?!?

Is this how they treat their customers who pay for their overpriced **** only to get no support from the dumb ***** that sit at their desk and surf the internet all day?!? I'll tell you this, I will not be buying anymore Apple products from now on. And that's too bad becuase i really wanted to get the MacBookAir but now i see theres no point!!!!

hmmm my friend has broke his ipod twice, both being his fault. Apple just sent him a new one and both times he was out of warranty. By the way you might want to rethink the macbook air, I got a macbook pro and its the best comp i've ever had. Its so nice not having to work with spysweepers and all the crap needed to protect your pc

I don't know what the problem is.....I'm not even asking for a new ipod (although since the first post it does not come on anymore ) I'm just asking a question. I just don't see how they can ignore a problem that a lot of people have had. I looked on a few forums and there were a lot of people complaining that they get the same run around. very frustrating.

Me too. I don't even use iTunes with my ipod. I use Winamp to load my songs to the ipod.

Yep. You too can free yourself from iTunes.

I don't even have iTunes on my PC at all. You only need iTunes for newer iPod firmware updates.
