So I'm getting a motorcycle...
A cheap one...less than 5 grand if possible. I want an enduro/super motard style bike I think...anyone here have/had/ridden one of those? Or any bike advice at all other than the usual safety ****...Ive had a motorcycle before that I rode on the street regularly so Im aware of that ****.
crotch rocket/ sport bikes are out of the equation.

get a sport bike.
lol but in all seriousness, why are they out of the question? you'd have a gas saver and something that's really fun to play with on the weekends. you can find some nice bikes for under 5 grand. i payed a total of 1500 for my 86 gixxer, and it runs flawlessly.

the only bikes ive ever driven are duc's. if you dont want a sport bike get a monster. its kinda sport bike-esque(sp?) and they still really ****** go and are a great gas saver and almost as comfortable as a chopper.

I have ridden motard bikes and they are fun, but are not comfortable at all for even moderately long rides. The seat is the same as the dirt bikes and those arent ment to be sat on hardly at all. If you dont want a sport bike look into some cruiser or muscle cruisers even. I love my Vstar 1100 its quick enough to have fun and do burnouts etc... but not enough to kill myself.
PS-I knew the moped idea wasnt gonna last, LOL.

I think I found the bike I want. 2002 suzuki DZR400S...Athena 440 kit, stainless skidd plates...extra large capacity tank(new never installed) Edelbrock Carb and only 900 miles on it. for less than twice what I paid for that moped. If all goes as planned I should have it in my garage tomorrow or Sunday.

He now has some surgeries to look towards, a rod from his left hip down towards his leg...
Just make sure you are careful, to easily to get hurt!
