You have a 40 hp difference between the rx8 and your v6. That's the same difference between a stock 99-04 GT and a 05+ GT. The 05's are heavier, and WOULD still win a auto v auto race. So I don't understand how your friends could possibly lose in that race with an auto.

 

I also call BS about the RX-8. I beat a 95 V6 Stang at the Strip In my 2000 Crown Vic. I ran a 16.6 he ran a 16.9. So I don't really think you beat a RX-8 which can run a 14.5 in the 1/4 bone stock (with a 6-speed)

Sure, it would make sense for him to win but when I beat him tonight and get the video up, you guys are gonna look kinda stupid. Those base model rx8's are not that fast, sorry. Ive been in it before and it only really has power up top.

btw, that rx8 you posted was a manual. you can tell by how fast the RPM drops when shifting gears. and when he lets off the gas at the end, the rpms stay high instead of changing into overdrive like autos are supposed to do.

 

 

that may have been the 193(?)hp 5-speed, or maybe he was using the paddle shifters? Either way it was still pretty slow. My car can hang with that. On a bad day Ill do a 10 second 0-60, but I can pull off 9.6's and up. Sometimes lower, but rarely. And I may not be racing these fools tonight, cause one didnt answer (rx8), and the other is whining about gas(camaro). But Im still trying.

All RX8's come with 232hp Roaty 2 engine with a 6-speed. they run 14.5 1/4 with a 0-60 in 5.8 seconds.

My personal Best in My Crown Vic is 0-60 in 8.4 seconds and 1/4 in 16.6@84mph. Once again Not a chance. Unless you have a 200 shot of N2O hidden in the trunk somewhere your 96 V6 stang is not going to beat a Rx8...and lets face it the Z28 could beat in you reverse

Road and Track tested the 95 V6 stang it ran 0-60 in 9.9 seconds and ran a 17.3 int he 1/4. face it my 3900lbs family sedan is faster.

 

Not all RX8's come with 232hp. There is a lower model with like 180 or 190hp.

do u remember the story about how i street raced the matrix... i beat him by like a second and a half and hes quite a few hundred lighter then me. now the rx8 is a brand new sports car, and its pretty fast.....how do i know this? cuz the guy that had the matrix now has an 08 rx8, and he handed my *** to me.

as for the z28....now correct my if im wrong....and i just may be......but wasnt that year the iroc? my friend has a 92 z28 and he also beat the crap outa me.

now, i hear where ur commin from about how theres a potential for you to win, cause he didnt beat me as badly as the rx8, but im in a bone stock 01 v6 manual........and not to toot my own horn or anything......but im a pretty ****** good driver. if you get a few bolt ons and a posi, i can see it MAYBE happening.

as for getting footage.....ill get you footage of me beating a ferarri if you like. a friend of mines dad has a modena and ill just put a camera in my car, beep the horn a couple times, and pull away.......heres the catch....i told him before the race to only go 1/8th throttle, and see how it turns out.

Ok guys I don’t want to post this but last night here at H-town us "a lot of racer’s” meet. There was this new dude I never seen before so he have a 2001 v6 camero with gears-intake-exhaust. I have intake-exhaust tuner and under drive pulleys and a 10" sub in the back with the back sit to so we race o he have an auto too. Anyways to make the story short I bit him for "I will say 3 cars deep". If u guys want proof of this wait till next week if I see him o and I don’t have gears yet.

BTW that Video you posted with the RX8 doing 0-60 in 9 seconds. watch it again. his speedo starts moving at 8 seconds. he hits 60 at 15 seconds. which makes his 0-60 7 seconds.

If you did beat him he's either a really bad driver, or he sand baged the raced.
