I run linux on my Laptop (Fedora Core 4). Its a really nice system. Highly stable, better support than microsoft could offer.

I can run any Windows program in WINE (windows emulator) within Linux without even partitioning my drive. If you can just get past the point that you have to learn how to enter commands at a console screen, its well worth the trouble.

I have a genius friend who knows everything...very nerdy and he loves Linux. It's cool to see what it can do and the security it offers but I'm way too impatient to learn it.

Well, I don't think Linux has as steep of learning curve as people think. Case in point: I switched my parents to linux after too many Windows issues about two years ago. They didn't know everything right away, but they learned really quick, have had no complaints, and I haven't had one support call. They were essentially computer-illiterate too. They're using Mandrake. I used to use it, then switched to Gentoo, now Suse.

My wife uses Suse for all her stuff, work, email, web, grad school stuff(now done). Works great and haven't had any big problems.

Bite the bullet and try it. It's worth it. I've been using it since '99, and will always use it. I even run Ubuntu on another drive in my G4 PowerMac.

Anyways, here's a screenie from my Linux box. Suse 9.2 - this is an old screenie though...

Crazy...maybe I just didn't care about it...I don't care to try it just because I know a lot about Windows...cool desktop though.

Kind of strange that I do not have a stang but looking forward to doing some stuff to the Hemi Durango which this is a pickup version of it.

I had found some really cool stang pics that I was going to use as a desktop, but I lost 'em. This is from a theme entitled "BloodRose", I like it.

I had to edit your pics best to keep it under 800x600 so we can see the whole image at once.

no that's ok, you have a girl and there is plenty of **** out there for you to look at. Besides, seeing her in person is better. So drool on your keyboard buddy.
