Default Byebye Mustang?

Welp, collision center called me today said my car was ready..so about an hour ago I went to pick it up, paid the deductible and off I went. They basically had to replace my entire suspension, front and rear, rods, hubs, ect. Along with the 7.5 rear end. Doing 45 mph in drive and ending up backwards really hurts..

So I drive up the street, go to a complete stop and I hear this "pop" sound, it wasn't a loud one, and it sounded like it was covered by something, and then..it sort of...shifted..i don't know how to describe it..

So I thought "maybe its a one time thing" go to the next light, same things happens. I continue driving up the road..doing the speed limit..50MPH and I let go of the wheel to see if i would roll straight..welp, without hestitation, the car went left.

So I turned around took it right back in, told them that wouldn't work for me, and to fix it. Now I'm thinking that if they actually test it they'll end up totalling it. So far the Grand Total is about 6 grand..give or take a few dollars (less then 100) the car, with 66 thousand miles can't be much more expensive, and I only owe about 7500 on the car..

Dunno. I found it funny when they were all "we replaced everything bla bla bla" and I just said "well..on my bill it doesn't say you tested for fram damage..theres one reason as to why it could be..or just poor craftsmanship.."

Apparently they tested and it was aligned..i call BS though..

I always found it amazing how costs of repairs can cost nearly as much as the car itself. Those mechanic man-hours are damn expensive.

get rid of it, it may never be right. cut your losses instead of dealing with the soon to come hassles of living with a once badly damaged car.

+a million to get rid of it..you will not ever have the mustang you had before the accident...

as for totalling it....they wont because it is already fixed....it would be even more of a waste to totalling a fixed car...just get it fixed..and sell it for like 3000 less than what its worth....youre gonna take a hit financially but it probably for the better.

Ya..unfortunately right now I'm in no position to get rid of the car..all I can hope is that they didn't fix EVERYTHING and they say screw it or something.

I'd end up having to drive it for about another year before I could get rid of it, and then i'd search around for a 03-04 cobra or a 05+ GT

a 02 V6 with close to 70k is worth only a couple thousand more than the cost of the fix already...lol TOTALED

I let my son drive my mustang a few months ago and he ran the side of it down a brick fence. $7,000 in damadges %%##%%!!. Yes he is still alive!! I just got it out the shop and I feel your pain. Unlike your shop mine did a really nice job but it sucks having to go throught your car being in a shop.
