The way I have found to be best in use 3m adhesive remover or lighter fliud, soak it down, let it sit for a minute and pick it off with your fingernail. Or, reverse. Don't worry about the damaging the paint, I use it all the time when testing new emblem designs, which is quite often

Welll lets see, I make emblems for a living, I have installed a couple hundred sets, and am probably the most qualified person on the net to give you advise on this subject. Yes, I am absolutly sure. I have used both many many times

If it is the vinly and you worry about using liquids. You can always heat it up with blow dryer and it will losen the glue and peel it off

After I washed mine I just picked it off with my nail, took my time to not mess up the paint.

Simple. Ask them to take it off before you take the car off the lot. Thats what we did with the GT and Cobra.

Mine had a big ole thick looking thing stuck to the rear panel. I just got underneath it and peeled it off. Had some heavy duty sticky crap residue left over.

LOL my wife gave me a can of PAM and a wash cloth and viola. It's good for other things than just non stick cooking. no harm to the paint too.
