Default the real streetracing

i always defend streetracing...its a passion of mine...i dont deny it...besides nghtrnnr, its my screenname wherever i go...but seeing as theres alot of kids here i just wanna clarify somethin...
i'm not defending the highway race...we all have done it...i have occasionally done it at 140 mph....thats stupid...i'll go on record...i dont like those...whenever i've done it, its been around 3am on an empty highway...i hate the guys who do that in and out of traffic
i'm not defending the light to light race...line up at a light with that bowtie and go...again...after 3am maybe...but around 3pm is retarded
i am defending the late night factory district closed street get togethers where hundreds of cars show up from all walks of life and races happen....where everyone there knows why they are there and knows the risks...there are no mini vans...there are no soccer moms...just a still night and the roar of the engines...thats what i defend...especially in a city where the nearest track is 200 miles away....just sayin...cause my other little brother (theres a lot of us) used me in his argument with my mom over a speeding ticket

Maybe it's a little different for you... because here streetracing is streetracing. There's no late night get-togethers of hot cars on abandoned roads or anything. So the only racing can be done at the track, or where you deem it safe during the day. The stuff you talk about may be real where you live... but around here it's just a fantasy world made up by the Fast and the Furious movies. The majority of the "street" crowd, are just kids who put louder mufflers on a grand am or a civic. When they race, they never break the speed limit anyways. So this undergound scene is unfamiliar, and I don't really have a problem if people feel the need to do it. Just don't expect a whole lot of sympathy if something goes wrong.

I know people that do just what he's talking about. More power to them, at least they're not in traffic. I just don't like the retards that weave through traffic at 100+

actually i guess i do...cause its the only real time my head is clear...i remember the first time i heard that line and it really struck a chord...cause honestly when i close my eyes my head fills with images no man should remember...even when i blink....so when i'm lyin in bed and my girl isnt with me...i end up staring at the ceiling...and then i start to thinkin...and rememberin...and then i hear the roar of engines in the distance...and i'm not gettin to sleep anyway...so i find myself in my stang...i find myself hitting my dukes of hazard airhorn...i find myself at 135+mph and for that coupla seconds...my head is clear

yes and yes to those last 2 questions...
as far as the racin thing...damn ...expand your mind...theres a whole big world out there full of so many different things....i live every part of it...the streetracin is as fun to me as whatever hobby you do is to you....i also whitewater raft and i have done mountain climbing but since this is a car forum i dwell on my racin hobby...streetracin isnt based on the fast and the furious....the movie was based on us....its a true fact of life...its real...and theres a whole helluva lotta people that show up for it...jeez...get past the movie...it was a movie....but the lifestyle is bigger than you seem to know

as far as the horn...hell yeah...its the coolest thing...wolo makes it...i had it installed by the dealer before i took delivery of my car....man nothin beats announcing yourself on the scene with that insane tune followed by a smoky burnout

i know the nassau expressway crew...those guy meet up at the toys r us parking lot around midnight down sunrise highway...they only run one race true but have you seen what they race? those guys show up with their vehicles on tow trucks so you know its not your average contest...big money involved there...those are the cars that do wheelies...the ricers take over when they are done...They meet up by the amoco gas station on 150th street but they usually bring the heat with them...then they stand around like "what..why are the cops following us?" its an easy answer...its cause they cram 30 cars into a gas station and think the owner isnt gonna call on them...deer park on the island is famous...like the west side highway in manhattan...ferraris race up north....regular joes down south...but bro...if you really want that insane multi car atmosphere....head to hunts point ave in the summer down by the docks...gets insane...look for the silver stang with the black stripes and the streetracer plate...usually on the nassau expressway
