Default Heath Ledger dead at 28

Really starting to wonder how awful the Hollywood life must be...found in an apartment with what looks like a drug overdose. Owen Wilson just attempted suicide not too long ago... I'm sure the media will come out with its reasons behind it... but what do you guys think? Tired of the constant publicity? He may have been drugging for awhile... but it looks like the evidence points at an obvious overdose, not accidental.

that's to bad...never really heard about him having problems.

I often wonder why celebs do weird things, but when you have so much money you can have whatever, whever you want you have to keep finding ways to up things....for instance if your a new rock star and you start out banging 1 chick a night....your like this is pretty cool, then it gets old. Then you go to 2 chicks, then 3 chicks....then you start peeing on them, that gets old and then you poo on them and it just keeps going from there.

They do that with drugs to....one night it's one 8 ball and the next it's 2 then your done!

Definitely. I wouldn't cry about all the money and girls, but I'd hate the popularity. Might be fun for a little while... but when you can't go to the damn grocery store anymore.. that just sucks.

I'm pretty sure the filming has been done. Now they are finishing up all the post production stuff for the May release. It's too bad cause he was a good actor and is going to kick *** as the joker.

i don't have sympathy for anyone that od's. shouldn't be doin' that **** in the first place. and i'm sure if he couldn't stand the fame anymore, he could just call it quits w/hollywood and go retire somewhere or start a regular 9-5 job like everyone else. hell he could prolly sell autographs on the street corner, so why end it like he did?

selfishness.

Aint nobody saying he commited suicide.

But yeah, i wouldnt want fame, i wouldnt want to have everyone thinking they know me and coming up and bugging me.

Some people thrive in that ****, some people hate it. I would despise ANY level of fame.

its no different than a trucker saying "Aint no way in hell i would work in an office all day" and me saying "Aint no way im gonna drive a goddamn truck all day"

As for Heath Ledger being recognizeable, yeah, he sort of is one of those guys. Maybe all it takes is a beard to fool you, but alot of people would still recognize him.

but like i said, nobody said it was the fame. he probably just partied too hard with the olsen twins.

The problem with Celebs and Drugs, is they really dont have anyone who sits them down and says "Listen you idiot yer gonna kill yerself" cause the only people they seem to surround themself with would never question anything they do because they know damn good and well that the celeb is the reason they have a job.

Especially when it comes to the power of addictions, anyone who tells them they need to quit become the badguy, then they have other people telling them exactly what they want to hear, and they get pissed at the person telling them to stop and they fire them.

the only people that seem to have the ***** to tell people like Lohan, Hilton, Britney, or any of the other celebs with drug problems that they need to quit is the court system, usually by then they are so far into the addiction that nothing really helps.

Aint saying he is a victim, he made the decision to get into the **** he got into, however, being a celeb in hollywood, well, there aint the support from loved ones to try to get you to quit. **** runs rampad then bam yer dead in yer ******* humidor and it takes dental records to verify yer rotted bloated humidored corpse is who they think it is.

He was a great actor, I enjoyed his films. Sad to see he turned to drugs, don't understand the hollywood-star mentality..rich, wife, kid, young, then OD? Shitty way to go.

RIP

Default sleeping pills

From what I read it was sleeping pills they found. Last time I check EVERYBODY takes those nowadays. It would be one thing if they found coke or meth, but this guy had simple old sleeping pills. Maybe he was drinking and popped more than he should this time. I know I have popped an extra one from time to time when I new I wasn't gong to go out easily. But if you mix them with Alcohol that can have a bad side affect. I don't think we should get out the old "He was doing drugs" signs untill they find reason for it. Not that sleeping pills are not a controled substance...just not like Heroin or Meth...
I frankly I hated brokeback mountain...I mean come on....sorry bad pun...

**** man, if i was famous i'd feed on it just to make more and more money. Then i'd have enough money to go buy a house in Kansas or something. Buy a couple stangs, have fun. Drugs are stupid, never really understoood why someone would do something to make themselves dumber. I never smoked weed in my life, i'm only 19 but all my friends do it and i never once was tempted. I cherish my brain.

they say that he was taking ambien because he wasn't getting much sleep during filming. He said that he took two one night and it only worked for about 1 hour. So he might have just taken too many or a mix of that and booze. I guess we'll find out soon.

I personally thought that he was a great actor. I was looking fwd to seeing him as the joker in the new batman. Never saw broke back but from the films i've seen with him in it....he was pretty good. RIP

IMHO. I think it has a whole lot to do with the age of the person. Fame and wealth at once for someone barely out of high school has got to have a huge impact on how you will live the rest of your life. If I had gotten suddenly very wealthy when I was anywhere in my 20's I would be dead from drugs right now. If I were in my 30's and suddenly found extreme wealth I might not be dead but I would be suffering from overexposure. Now that I am happy with myself in my late 40's, I have been with my chosen one for 16 years and if I win the powerball tomorrow, I will not die from drugs or want to kill myself. I will be a rich happy ***, and living life without having to kill myself.. I've got it all except for the fame and money part.. I would however live in a huge house with plenty of Garages.. And plenty of Cars..

true that. I wonder how they have it ending. Would suck if they had plans for him in another batman movie.

I read "rumors"... that the joker isn't killed off. If true, they'll have to find someone else. I still picture Jack Nicholson when I think of the joker... maybe they feel he's too old.

I think he was under a lot of pressure trying to shake the Broke Back Mountain stigma

I think when they are doing certain movies, they really get into their character. When he was playing the joker, he had to be dark and a psychopath. I'm sure that starts to mess with your head after awhile and also doing multiple movies back to back.
