Utorrent vs Azureus
ok, so i have been a user of Utorrent for a while now, and i was told to go with Azureus for faster downloads, and well it sucks.. they are so slow unless you download from them.. does anyone know how to make it faster.. if not i am going back to good ol' Utorrent

i use piratebay and always download from the top 100 tab. my azureus brings my web browsing to a screeching halt when i first open it. its never did this before all of these new updates came out for it. i use the old azureus i dont use VUZE, VUZE is stupid. i download nothing but tv shows and i get 200-250 kb/s and for older tv shows its usually mid to low 100's.
FYI AXXO isnt allowed to load videos or he turned his cheek on thepiratebay.org torrent site. people reload them to TPB for us though.
remember download speed is up to the SEEDER and PEER numbers and if they are dicks and set a CAP on the share kb/s than slow downloads happen. your computer savy and should know that.
i get all my tv show downloads from eztv.it probably the best site around for that. if you have DVR than it probably doesnt matter to you but i have no cable in germany

the AXXO is the main reason i use isohunt
but it has been recently ppl have faked their AXXO files, and you download something and it says download DOMPLAYER which is complete bull crap..
I will just limp along right now. when i get the money for my new graphic card and power supply i will get my new computer running, and it have a outragiously fast LAN port which will help (up to 1g) and plus its an all better computer...
BTW it normaly takes me aobut 2 1/2 hours to get 700mb movie which i find sad, (thats an average of around 100 kb/s)
been messing around on dslreports.com and my download speed right now is only hitting 5.3m/513 (which is kinda slow compared to what i am normally at)

You know aXXo is actually a person right? He is known for his good quality on dvdrip's and such.
But anyways, I usually use utorrent on the pc but lately I have come to hate windows and have been using my macbook pro alot more. On the mac I use Transmission Torrent and Azureus. I've seen equal speeds out of both. Downloaded a movie at around 600kb/s on average with some good seeders and such a couple times on both programs.
On the pc, I don't think I saw anymore more than 500kb/s with utorrent.
But as far as I'm concerned.
PC/Windows : UTorrent
Mac : Transmission or Azureus
Those are the best I've seen so far for torrents and I've been using torrents a bit over a year now.
Also, not sure if you guys have heard of this site but it's www.btjunkie.org
I usually download most of my stuff from there unless they don't have it, then I go to my secondary site which is www.thepiratebay.org
I usually check both sites before I start anything and btjunkie almost all the time has WAY more seeds. Search for something popular and you'll see what I mean. One thing to be careful of is be sure to read any comments on the torrent before you download from btjunkie because of users will post comments saying whether it's fake or not so it does save a little time when searching for stuff. Matter of a fact, I just downloaded a screener for The Bucket List today from btjunkie that I have yet to watch. Pretty good considering it just came out in theatres.
