I'm finished as well.....Did any of you notice the malls weren't as busy as previous years around this time? I went to the post office yesterday thinking it was going to be packed and it wasn't at all. One of the ladies working in there said it hasn't been that busy compared to other years.

I'm thinking the economy is doing much worse than people think. Who knows, just my observation.

I think people in Ca. have just blown their money on plastic surgery, gas in their H2's, bud and booze..

Think about it.. I did a TON of shopping online, super convenient and they can mail and wrap the **** for you.. Now, why would you buy it in the store, take it to USPS, box it up, pay more for shipping/ gas... Just doesn't make sense, think about it, we're in a world of technology now.. We don't have to send cards anymore we just send e-cards.. We don't have to wrap or ship gifts anymore because amazon does that for us.. lol

ha ha....don't know about the plastic surgery part, but can't argue with the other stuff you mentioned. I don't think the adjustable rate mortgages people have on their $500k-1 million dollar homes help either (idiots)

Yeah, I did a lot of shopping online as well. It's easier that way.

Thumbs down

Hell yeah, i'm with WNRacing! I bought like half of my stuff online! I opted not to have them wrap my gifts because for one: I'm not shipping gifts to anyone this year! Everyone that is getting a gift for me is coming over for christmas and two, they charge to wrap your gifts!! I'll just have my girl wrap all my gifts for me for free!!

Most of the places I went to weren't packed at all. I was surprised when I stepped into Best Buy and there was like 2 people in line. Usually the line is all the way towards the back of the store. It's all about going to Safeway (grocery store for those who don't them) and picking up gift cards. They have a gift card for all the important stores.

I'd agree and say the lack of shopping whould be due to the internet. I don't think the american economy is so poor that no one is shopping during Christmas. I went this past Tuesday, week before Christmas, a little bit after noon, and it took us like 15-20 min to find a parking spot. We weren't trying to be lazy looking up front, there was just people coming and going everywhere.

Im surprised by that.. I tried to go to best buy last week and it was completely packed. I couldn't even find a parking spot so I left.. I tried to go to the mall after that and they were completely nuts. I don't even want to think of what Opry Mills mall is like right now, probably completely overwhelmed..

4.6 - I don't pay to have gifts wrapped either.. I wrap them myself, even if they come out looking like ****! lol

My wife bought all presents and most were kids which where purchased black friday. I have noticed that its not as packed as usual. Its directly related to the real estate market slow down.
