my favorite automotive show. its on in 5 minutes on BBC America.

Anyone else watch this show?

 

I do it's great, youtube has a good selection of them.

 

I did until the guy called American drivers pansies. He was boasting about the fact that in Europe, you'd get run over for crossing the street in front of cars. He said Americans will stop, because we don't have enough passion for driving. That's when I decided he just hates America....

 

yeah, I saw that...didn't really bother me, nor did it lead me to the conclusion that he/they hate America. It's a comedic type car show...one of the reasons I like it, but...They are brits. lol. I just like how they beat the **** out of every car they test, then they give it to their pro driver to test...they do it all on the same track so it gives a nice comparo of all the cars in flat out conditions.

right now they are playing SOCCER with these tiny cars...giant soccer ball...etc...its great.

 

I love the show personally... yeah they are sometimes pompous or odd, but the same guy also called the Mustang the most important/best car in automotive history. My brother (who is staying with me in my apt till christmas) has all of the episodes on his external hard drive... very nice!
Yes, its very comedic, we were just watching an episode last night where they built amphibious cars and tried to cross the channel! (The second episode on amphib cars) Hilarious, (spoiler!!?!?!?!) they basically all sank the first time, and the second time two of them could'nt make it, and almost got demolished in the shipping lanes by enormous freighters.

 

i almost got my *** ran over in frankfurt when i was out there one night. ever since than i dont wait for people to cross i keep driving just like i would when i was livin in the city.

i DL the show everytime. i see it pop up on www.eztv.ti <---best website for all TV show downloads. all of yall prolly have DVR and record everything and watch it later. i dont have cable so i have to go that route.

 

Lol... yah, i dont much care for the guy... they do stupid comparisons... like the Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi Vs. the Atom.

They are great they dont like Americans much, then again we as Americans dont like other countries either its how everyone is. I find their humor to be great and the crazy challenges awesome. I usually just go to finalgear.com and get torrents for the new shows instead of waiting 1-2 years for BBC america to show newer ones.

 

Their special on the S197 mustang was absolutely terrible, he was talking about the GT's performance while showing AND driving a V6.

Yeah, I'm not surprised to see anyone outside of the U.S. hating on America anymore. It didn't really turn me away from the show... just made me dislike it a little more. Did they do the top speed of the Bugatti Veyron on that show? That was intense.

Definitely my favorite show. Hes hilarious, and to be honest, his "anti-american" comments dont bother me, its hilarious. We all know a Mustang isnt up to par with an Aston Martin or a Porsche, which is what he drives all day every day, so of course he's going to be disappointed when he drives a Mustang. LOL and the stuff he says, and the challenges they do, usually have me in tears laughing. Try and find the episode where they go on an RV holiday, probably my favorite of all time, other than the one where they take cars and make them boats. Both hilarious.

 

lol- If I remember correctly, they burn the bloody thing to the ground!

I missed that episode. lol...they could care less about American cars really...they liked/hated the Z06 Vette...its just a very entertaining show...they do **** no one else does...beat the **** out of every car they test, then hand the car off to a pro driver...I love the format of the show.

 

They sometimes get bad info, they just read what there told on the specs cant blame them for that. Not like i know what Liters every BMW is. But saying a v6 mustang is a GT and compairing it a horse was stupid when clearly its s very v6 car. Nothing against you v6 guys.

The guy really has no consistancy

On the Shelby GT500 Vs. Roush ep he started out in an old GT500. He was laughing his *** off calling it an amazing car. He totally seemed to enjoy how it was built to simply go forward as fast as possible

Then he gave some props to the Shelby GT500, but absolutly RAVED about the Stage 3 Roush.

Then he proceeded to compare the Stage 3 Roush against a Lotus Elise on a road course, of course eventually the elise made it past the Roush around a corner then won.

Then he says his
"quest of finding a great american car is not going well. This one (v6 stang) was beaten by a horse, this one (new vette) doesent work on the road, and this one (roush stage 3) was beaten by a plastic toaster from norfolk(lotus)"

So after all that excutement and all that fun he had with a mustang stg3 roush he basically calls it crap because it lost on a road course to a lotus?

 

eh....its entertainment. they are brits...they are not allowed to like american cars. lol.

I do have to say though when he did of the history of the Mustang he called it the "Greatest car ever made"

 

He is smart enough to know that without the Mustang, the sports car scene would be NOTHING like it is.

 

Lol.... so i guess his affection for the stang is like my appreciation for the beatles.

I cant ******* stand the beatles. i think thier **** is horrible and boring.

but without the beatles, music wouldnt have progressed nearly the way it did.
