do you have a shift kit? if yes is it worth it?

 

shift kit? i really dont know what they contain. i use a lentech full race valve body, auto shift with transbrake. ran me 575 bucks and thats through my buddy, retail is over 700. and yes, my god, is it worth it

 

im not entirely sure about transmission parts but im pretty sure a shift kit just firms up the shifts on autos for faster gear changes... whats auto shift?

 

i mean i know what they do, but as far as the individual parts i dont know what the consist of. as for auto shift, i could have gotten the manual shift version, where i would shift 1-2-3 and have to run a separate electrical line to the overdrive band to activate it. but i chose to keep it auto shifting where i can leave it in drive if i want. the transbrake only works in 1st gear though

 

can you convert to a manual shift on a stock automatic transmission with the auto shift?

 

yea you would have to get a manual shift valve body, your electronics wouldnt be used . you would shift 1 for first, 2 for second, and D for 3rd. you would have to ru a separate line for overdrive, which would be used through a momentary swtich. you can also run a separate line for the brake. im also unsure if the lockup feature would still be used, unless you could run a toggle for that, which would be nice, but im not goign through that trouble, so i kept it automatically shifting
