Unbelievable......
Well so today was off to a good start getting my car fixed, and finding the vacuum leak. So anyway, I was driving to physical therapy, and one of my bullitt sidescoops flies off my car, but I didn't know what it was, thought some plastic flew up off the road as I went over it.
Got to physical therapy went inside, got my arm massaged, stretched, for an hour and half, then I come back outside, get to the car, and realize my driver side sidescoop is missing. I'm like WTF? Then i remember that thing I thought came off the road, and realized it was my bullitt sidescoop flying off my car, cause I saw in it my sideview mirror.
So I drive back to Spring Hill, turn around at Port Royal Rd, get back on highway, turn the flashers on and I'm driving in the right lane slowly trying to find it. Get all the way to Peytonsville Rd, and nothing, and I remember seeing it fly off somewhere between Port Royal Rd and 840 Hwy, on 396/65. So frustrated, I turn around at Peytonsvile Rd, and head back towards Spring Hill. I'm doing 70 in the fast lane, and all of a sudden I see blue and red lights flashing behind me, and I'm like....great, just great. So I pull over, and Williamson County Sheriff comes up to passenger side, and tells me my tint is too dark, and I can't have the blue tinted license plate cover over my license plate. Asks for my DL, Ins, Registration. So I find it, he asks me why I was driving up and down 65 hwy between Peytsonville Rd and Spring Hill. Explain the situation to him, he looks on driver side, sure enough scoop is gone, so he's like ok, wait here, I'll be back...takes my stuff to Cop SUV, runs my name etc, comes back asks me if i have weapons or drugs in the car. Now I'm starting to really get pissed.
I tell him he needs to stop stereotyping me. He asks what that means. I say "I wasn't speeding, I was obeying all traffic laws, using my signals, had my headlights on (because of the rain), and you're pulling me over because my car has tinted windows, and a license plate cover? You're pulling me over for non-moving violations? you've got to be kidding me!"
He says "You gettin' an attitude with me boy?" I says "**** Right, cause you're stereotyping me just because I have window tint on a sports car, all of a sudden now I'm some kind of drug running, weapon toting thug"
"But to answer your question, I don't have any weapons or drugs, but I do have a crutch!!" He asks what the crutch is for...so I explain "I just moved here from Missouri at the end of August, was on my 5th day of the job, and fell off a balcony and broke my right hip and my right arm". Then I really had to try to hard to keep from laughing cause he asks "So are you working?" I say no "I'm on workmans comp" (i just told you i fell at work, you moron!).
So now he thinks I'm full of crap and says "If your arms broken how can you drive". I told him I broke it September 6, and that after 6 weeks it's not broken anymore, but it's pretty weak from not being used, hence the physical therapy".
By this time I'm completely getting aggravated, but trying hard not to show it.
So now he asks "Can I search the car"....so I say "For the love of God please do, whatever makes you happy". I grab my remote key and pop the trunk, and he's just lookin' at me with a small smile, I glare at him "Go look!", so he does, pulls up trunk mat looks under spare tire, etc, comes back opens driver side door looks under seats, in glove box, pulls down the rear seats. Finally he comes back and says "ok, here's your stuff back. I don't care if you have to take a razor or whatever, but you gotta get that tint off, cause it's just too dark, hell, I can't even see in the car. I'm letting you go with a warning this time, but if I catch you again, I'm writing you a ticket".
I says ok, and just agree with him so he'll leave, and finally he says "Be careful when you pull out, and walks back to his car.
Sorry Occifer, but if you think I'm taking a $185 tint job off just because you think you're gonna intimidate me, think again. I drove for almost a year in Kansas City, and never even had one cop say anything about it.
He can take a big flying suck at my forthright point of contact!!!!!!!!

Damn dude, he should have thrown you in the car and arrested you for that attitude of yours.
Seriously, laws are laws, they must be respected. Sure, some are rediculous, but in all seriousness we have to treat them all with the same regard, we cant simply ignore the laws we dont like because it will set a precident for anarchy. Also, why ARE your windows so dark? if i were a cop i would be suspicious of a guy who apparently is too injured to work but can still treck up and down the highway looking for this alleged "side scoop". You better wisen up, next time you might not have a cop who is so patient.
BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA
Im just fuggin with ya man, yah, cop sounds like a total jackass. He was totally stereotyping you. He is probably just mad cause he cant afford a mustang on his crap salary. hahahahaha.
you KNOW why he diddnt write the ticket too. It would be interesting to see somebody come in with a ticket recieved after being pulled over for a non moving violation. Anyways, good luck with the scoppop.
Anyways, good luck finding the scoop

Yeah, i didnt find that scoop, probably got decimated by the tire of a semi truck.
So I just ordered a new one off of 50resto and will have to take it to get painted in a couple of weeks...really ticks me off.
i just spent $80 at the mechanic shop today having them find and fix a vacuum leak. I spent $300 on it, putting new abs sensors, new front o2 sensors, and a new gauge cluster bezel/lens before that.
and now this....grrr...well i guess it could be worse, i could have gotten the ticket and lost the scoop, as well as replacing it and having it painted.
life sux sometimes.

that sucks it fell off at least you did not get a ticket.

From the dialogue between you two, it sounds like your ***** are so big they have to ride shotgun .... But crying over an ipod?? Having to ask the government for help and massages??? Are you sure you don't drive a sixer?
You let him intimidate you the second you let him search your car. He had no probable cause.

LOL, so you had illegal tint, yet the cop is the dbag for pulling you?
You're a big boy, and you're going to do what you think is right, but just remember that when a cop pulls a car over, and cant see a damn thing, he doesnt know if there is a person pointing a gun at him, ready to shoot him over a speeding ticket, broken turn signal, whatever.
IN MY PERSONAL OPINION, had you taken that kind of attitude with me as a cop, you'd have gotten a ticket at the least. When you drive a Mustang, you pretty much have to accept that you MIGHT get pulled over for no reason, but dont be a hard ***, because YES, shock, there are cops out there on ego trips that have nothing better to do than ruin your day if they feel so inclined. Just do as he says, say yes sir, no sir, etc etc. Why risk having some dick head cop put you in jail because you got an attitude with him? Is it worth it, was it REALLY that big of a deal?
No.

first off, before he pulled me over, he had ran my tag. My tag brings up owner information. Next it brings up my criminal history. The guy can see that I have "ZERO" criminal history, arrests, convictions, etc. Therefore, that should tell him that there is a 99.999999999% that i wouldn't have weapons or drugs in the car.
they pig was stereotyping me and trying to profile me just for the fact that my car had window tint for crying out loud.
wow!! window tint is so bad!!! even the feds are pulling people over for it...just a big time felony isn't it?
no...it's a waste of time, and a waste of taxpayers money to pull someone over just for window tint. Now had I been speeding, and he gave me a speeding ticket, and issued one for window tint, I wouldn't be griping right now.
#11
Just out of curiosity what percentage is your tint? from your sig it almost looks like 5%
#12
i cant believe i read that whole diatraub about i cant believe i got stereo typed for sports car this tint this. LAWS are LAWS you know you have illegal tint so why did you give attitude. the cop doesnt care that you lost a peice of your car. he could of gave you a littering fine for it if he found it for you.
so you moved to a different state with tinted windows i dont see how a cop can write you a ticket for a violation that is different than your registered cars state.
i hate seeing these stupid *** threads about cops being dicks. its their job and you were pulled over for a non-violation because you had some ricer cover for your license plate and probably had 5% window tint all the way around. get over yourself and grow up.
i have 5% on my car and i had to take it off in california 10 days before i left for germany. i told the dude that i was leaving soon but he didnt care just gave me a fix it ticket which meant to remove my **** on the drive passenger window.

Mixbreed you some some retarded posts in this forum. First you dawg california people for being liberal WHILE our state is burning to the ground and 1 million people have left their homes behind, and some to burn. Then you bitch about cops and your tinting issue. In california the tint law is simple..."no tint on the front windows". I have a Florida tag, where tint is legal, and i STILL fall under the California law where i can NOT have tint. Its something i have accepted. I have a sports car that is a "target" possibly, but why make it worse on myself and get tint. Its stupid to have something that will make you an obvious target for cops. So if your state has a law saying you cant tint the windows then dont tint them. Since you already had them tinted, dont bitch about getting pulled over and him saying something about them. I most definately would have gave a smart *** like you a ticket. but hey...im just a "california liberal" i guess.......
#14
dude you're such a panzy. you're bitching about getting a warning? lucky he didn't hand you a razor and make you remove your tint right there.
#15
ITS THE LAW. get over it. Oh, the mustang it NOT a sports car, dill hole!!!!!
#16
do you guys think theres any chance theres bs involved?
#17
#18
uhhh....no its not. Pony car is not sports car. Sports cars are little turds....
#19
ok...so American muscle then
#20
Now you got it.
#21
Corvettes, Porsche 911s, Vipers, etc. are considered sport cars and I wouldn't say they are little turds.
Anyways, I think this guy just wants attention and is way more dramatic then he needs to be. I got pulled over a few weeks ago for tint and you didn't see a long essay on how I hate cops. I was polite, I knew it was illegal, and I took my fix it ticket and headed off to work like I usually do.
