Default 2000 Cobra R

So today i was talking with a few people in a Mustang Club thats located in my city. I'm not in this club, but i was curious to see how serious it was. Well one of the members has a 2000 Cobra R., as he was talking, I was trying to remember how many of these SVT actually made. I looked it up, and it said they made 300. What are the odds that this Cobra R this guy has is actually authentic? I mean, anyone can take a damn 99-04 and turn it into a Cobra R.

Take a look at the engine. Most people who make a cobra r clone only do the cosmetic stuff and dont actually put in the 5.4 4V with the cobra intake.

Yeah i would of, but it wasn't with him. He says he only drives it about 10 miles a month. I saw a couple pictures he had, and i had seen it on the club website. No engine pictures. At a car show i saw it also, but he was driving it so i didn't get to talk to him or anything.

Funny thing, those cars are rare as hell and real eye catchers. People paid a **** for them. They were made for the track, but never raced. They are also not that fast.

My stupid GT with a blower would beat one up.

theres a guy here that does have a authentic one, he used to bring it to some car shows in the area!

he has the sucker in a controlled air garage, with heat sensors in there so when the air temp changes it will automatically adjust and turn on the heat or ac.

talk about a fanatic!

True, but that all motor power would be fun to have.

and you would get alot more power out of add-ons too...especially some CAMS! What do they put in place of the radio and a/c in the dash?...gauges?

Delete panels replace the a/c and radio controls, and sorry waterdr. you would stand no chance against one there lighter and make close to the same power.

They aren't lighter. I believe waterdr has a 2000 like me and they weigh a little under 3300lbs. Yes that is correct, 2000s weighed less then 01-04s. The cobra r weighs close to 3600lbs. The power might be close since I heard they were underrated.
