Default interesting news

so i called my mom today to see whats was going on at the home front before she left for vacation and i hadnt talked to her for about a week. she tells me that a pipe running to the master bathroom burst and had leaked for a good 12 hours cause she didnt hear running water when she left home at around 6 am for work and didnt get home till 8 pm. so as i type this, there are 2 13 ft x 14 ft holes in my house (first floor and second floor) all the furniture is ruined in the basement cause the water had nowhere to go. there is no carpet in the master bedroom, or the living room, no tile in the master bathroom and no wood flooring in the foyer. tomorrow theyre going to rip all of the drywall off of the the side to make sure there isnt too much damage there. now my mom isnt going on vacation.

i called my uncle right after i talked to my mom to see what was up with him (im real close to all my family members since i lived with them for a good 15 years before moving). first thing out of his mouth is "did you hear what happened with your mother". i said yea and all that jazz about the house. my uncle asked if my mom told me what happened to my sable...well, apparently, my mom had hit/got hit by a deer in my car. thank fully she wasnt hurt and no one else was on the road at the time. thank god that it wasnt her car that she bought a couple months ago or the mustang.

now to make this story more interesting, the water break in the house and my car being messed up by a deer all happened IN THE SAME NIGHT on Wednesday or Thursday night. so yea...im still in disbelief but now i gotta find a mirror and possibly a new door from a junkyard for the sable.

Sorry this was so long.

CLIFF NOTES:

* House has water damage and 2 13x14 ft holes in the first and second floor ceilings.
* Deer hit my beater when my mom was driving it since it hadnt been driven for a week while the stang spent time at college with me at school
* both of these events happened on the same day to add more to the whole ordeal.

Well, the water damage could have been much worse. Could've let it settle, build up mold, spread, and then look at new insulation/drywall + wood rot and maybe some electrical damage.

she was doing a good 35-40 miles an hour on the way home from work. and it wasnt 1 deer, it was 2 now that i asked her in person (came home from school for the weekend).there are 2 dents on the car, the door where most of the impact was, and on the front fender. i have never seen 2 deer hit a car...i have never seen 2 deer vs. a car period, where being hit or doing the hitting.

yeah hopefully the flood insurance will take care of the house. State farm was pretty helpful when our house got flooded. It would have been cool if your mom would have thrown the deer in the trunk so you could have some deer jerky...
