I will not show the horrible ones, for the fact that we do have service men here..and who wants to see a fallen soldier?
- No we aren't terrorists, but then again, we are NOT liberators either.
The U.S. militaries job is not to go around giving bullshit democracy to some pisspoor country. The basic job is to go in, destroy buildings, and kill people.
Our dipshit president decided to add on another page to our soldiers. FOR WHAT? So two groups of people can fight over who gets control? To have yet another dictator? Possibly a worse dictator then the last?
To have one or both sides basically spit in our face? Burn our flags? Throw rocks at our soldiers? RUN TOWARDS US WITH BOMBS STRAPPED ON THEIR BODIES?
Its not our job, and yes I am very cold hearted when I say this, but those people are not worth it. They are not worth one of our Americans lives.

this has been one of the best threads in a while (i mean participation wise)
all i can say is i do not support the war. not one bit. we should not be over there at all. BUT! since we are over there i will support our troups and hope for their safe return. i have 2 friends who graduated last year from high school over in iraq. and one of them has been shot in the leg once.

not me...i may not agree with every lil thing she says but i honestly admire her for sayin it.....and before certain people start yappin about how i'm not a real american...consider this...she knows everything thats said about her...she reads the internet...in fact...i read that shes one of the only celebritys that takes the time to read and answer every thing people post on her blog...and she sticks to her guns...i admire her for that...it aint easy swimmin upstream all the time...she is who she is and she isnt changin for the flavor of the week...she's rosie all day everyday...never anyone else...honestly how many people can say that....

think so? try bein a union rep and taking everyones complaints to the boss...then try and find one person who will voice their complaints to his face...thats just one example...or how about on my moms block...guy moves on the block and wont cut his lawn...block association complain at their lil meeting...not one person will knock on the guys door to tell him his yard sucks...mom had to call me and my brothers to talk to him....by and large people do not speak their mind when it matters....by and large people go with the flow...i admire anybody who still speaks their mind no matter what, especially a woman...but thats just me...obviously lots here disagree

As far as going with the flow, are you suggesting that anyone who does not go against the system is a sheep? maybe the flow is the flow because more people agree with that direction? Sometimes the path is beaten for a reason, and sometimes the road less traveled is also for a reason. lol....
my family, my friends, my co worker, by in large just about everyone i know speaks thier mind on matters important to them. It looks like your experience is otherwise, and i dont know what to tell you for that matter, other than try to meet some people of stronger character.
as for the guy with the shitty yard, maybe the guy 2 houses up never said anything because he has more important things to worry about than some other guys lawn. Maybe he really doesent care. I understand it bothers your mom, and there is nothing wrong with that at all, but just because that gets under her skin doesent mean it has to bother everyone else as well.
I have some people in my neighborhood with crappy lawns. im not overly worried about it. I got bigger things on my plate to worry about.
gotta pick and choose yer battles, and that is what most people do, focus on what is important to them. That is what rosie did. The same thing everyone else does. But she mnanaged to **** off half america in the process. lol
There is nothing wrong with her speaking her mind, however, there is nothing wrong with using a little tact as well.

I still dont think there is anything impressive about her speaking her mind. people do it all the time. Maybe union reps dont. I figure there are a lot of politics involved. And i assume you have some experience in this matter. If so you should also understand that sometimes speaking your mind does your plight more harm than good, and sometimes it i best not to say anything but find another method of action to get the results you are looking for.

I haven't read the rest of the threads... you can respect someone for saying what is on their mind.. sure.
But when they say whats on their mind and it completely screwed up.. other people in masses will call that person an idiot.
When it is constant..people in masses will say they should be shot.
As for the whole John Kerry bit.. I know people who have graduated from awesome universities with degrees ranging from history all the way into different types of engineering who went over into the military..
Not the airforce, not the navy..but the guys who spend the most time on the ground..the marines and the army.. (not saying airforce and navy aren't anything..imo they are the backbone)
John Kerry can blow it out his ***.
People are now afraid to speak their mind..especially now in states like..california.. when you speak your mind you can be sued for **** like harassment, discrimination, ect.. people here will sue you for looking at them funny. The system has really messed with people to where they are afraid to say whats on their mind.. our rights have been basically bashed to all hell nowadays..
Sure people with major cash can say whatever they want..they have the money to buy their way out..the average american doesn't have a couple hundred grand or a couple million just to toss at the state and say "here ya go let me off" or whatever.
