i am getting SH*T for gas milage
so who here is getting extremely bad gas mileage? im getting about 130-140 per tank mixed highway and street. haha. i dont really have a lead foot but i have my moments every now and then. i think my tune is really really really rich. i guess i will get it dyno tuned when i get the longtubes on sometime in future months. (BTW, 03gtmustang, we need to figure a date to do the transaction. lol)

anyways guys, i will have to see if i can get the data logger figured out and see if i can view the A/F ratio sometime this week. maybe tomorrow.

i wish i could at least break 180 a tank...but i went from about 240 a tank to 140 a tank, i dont think that the 4.10s would decrease my mileage by 100 miles per tank. lol

Yeah, I wouldn't think it would drop it down that much either. Before the GTs engine blew up, I was getting like 16-17 mpg in city, though I didn't drive it much on the highway cuz of the 4.10s. But I never needed to get on the hwy much either, I live less than 5 miles from where I work.

PureStang.....a tune will help a lot. If not then something else is wrong, but it's more than likely in the tune.
My last tank of gas was a mix of 4 gallons of 100 octane and the rest 91 octane and with mix city and highway driving I got 305 miles out of the tank and my drive to work isn't exactly open road...LOTS of traffic. Nornally I get between 230-250 miles out of a tank
I'm wondering if the higher octane helped??

i think we found ourselves a lead foot..hahah
nah, i think it's because the sixers have absolutly no power, we have to use the little bit we got to get us up to speed.
i usually get 220~ per tank. If i baby it i get 280, but i do stop and go short distance city driving 98% of the time, so i think thats alright.

All depends on how you drive. I get anywhere from 14-17mpg in the city depending on how much stop and go I'm doing, and anywhere from 18-25mpg on the highway, depending on if its combo city/highway or just straight highway.

but just about 8 mpg half city half highway. i drive 10 miles to work, 5 city, 5 highway. and i barely go above 3k rpm until i shift, just like i would before the gear install. dunno, longtubes come soon so i will go to a local tuner and get a dyno tune
