What's Your Insurance?

Ok.. Anyone between the ages of 16 and 20.. If you have a GT ('99-'04), or higher.. What is your Insurance /mo..?

Do you have any Tickets/ accidents, etc..?

My insurance on the 6 is about $60/mo liability/ comp./ glass/ medical (up to $500,000) etc..

I have no accidents, no tickets, nothing.. And when I turn 21 I will qualify for a lower Ins. bracket called 30/60 that used to be reserved for 25+y/o with less than 2 tickets in 3 years and no accidents..

My dad is my Ins. Agent and I know that he doesn't believe I should think about getting a GT because of the gas/ higher insurance.. blah blah blah.. and I think he is quoting me higher then it really is.. :godamnit:

lemme' know...

I got my GT when I was 20 and at the time had a 95 V6 as well. With full coverage on the GT and liability on the V6, I paid just over $100 a month. I don't remember the specifics, but I do know that I have the lowest deductible offered to me on the GT. That was with a PERFECT driving record and having had my own insurance since I was 16. I think I got a slight multi-car discount as well, but that is not that much.

I know you specifically wanted to know about 99-04s but I figured this might get you in the ballpark.

I pay 158/month for my 04 GT. I am 22 with a clean record.

shad0ws 04-21-2007 09:27 AM

I called the other day to get a quote on a 2002 Mustang GT and I'm working with 4 tickets and they are quoted me at like $160 a month but then again I'm still under my parent's insurance.

SpinMedia 04-21-2007 09:28 AM

I pay $1,100 a month for my BMW 325i and my Mercedes c32 amg. Im only paying that for a few months till i finish repairing my 325i from a small accident and i sell it. Then im just going to be paying $600 a month for the benz.

but remember im young, have a few tickets, wrecked my old mustang into a tree, and i live in miami.

Insurance companies are the devil.......

Jack The Ripper 04-21-2007 10:10 AM

120 a month for the GT, the honda, and the house combined, with a shitty driving record and full coverage on both vehicles from American Family Insurance

being 30 kicks ass.

lol

Diddnt you shop around or something? LOL!

SpinMedia 04-21-2007 11:33 AM

Yeah I did shop around, its cause of my age man. Once I turn 24 i'll drop more and im getting a beater and just putting the benz as a weekend driver so insurance will drop to around 300 or so a month. Like i said 1,100 is just till i sell the bmw.

Why are you paying that much a month on just insurance and still living at home? Thats like the stupidest thing i heard.

TClark22 04-21-2007 10:26 PM

its going to be around 150$ a month for my 04 GT...but for my 04 six it was just around 100 a month...and i am 18

wnracing 04-22-2007 01:03 AM

Prob. going to end up waiting until Im 21.. Then it will be super cheap, somewhere around $75-80/mo.

Damn, that seems like its going to be forever though... LOL 9 months..

SnTBakosFinest 04-22-2007 11:43 AM

Lets see... 1600 every 6 months, full coverage, I'm covered on my Stang and the F250, 18, two tickets, no traffic school on either. (The second ticket I will be going to traffic school, haven't been to court about it yet.)

My first ride was going to be a GSXR 750... 600 bucks a month for full coverage (have to be full coverage when buying it..can't have just liability) my dad and i laughed..and went and bought the stang ;x

theponyfactor 04-22-2007 12:21 PM

i think you mean it has to be full coverage if you finance it. if you own a vehicle outright, you are only required to have liability on it.

SnTBakosFinest 04-22-2007 12:41 PM

Well yes..I wasn't going to drop 6gs flatout..I was giong to make payments ;p

brio3086 04-22-2007 04:01 PM

TRMachOne 04-22-2007 10:37 PM

I pay close to $300 a month for may Mach and a 1998 F150 4x4. I'm 21 and have 2 tickets on my record.

SpinMedia 04-23-2007 04:00 PM

I had shopped around man, It all depends on where you live and such, miami is an area with a lot of traffic, a lot of drugs, a lot of people with no licenses, a lot of drinking and driving, lots of accidents and such, here everyone i know pays over $400 a month for insurance,

jjtgiants 04-23-2007 04:32 PM

no tickets, no record and I pay $158 a month. Freaking rip off if you ask me

dookie2365 04-23-2007 04:48 PM

80$ a month full coverage

under dad's name, who is a cop, im 19

no ticket ever no accident nothing

had to prove myself worthy by not crashing/getting a ticket with my 1st car for 2 years b4 could get the mustang

rebelyell 04-23-2007 11:16 PM

Well, it pays to be a long time customer of an insurance agency. I pay $846 a year for my GT. and my wifes concorde is $680 per year. No tickets ever on either cars. No claims for the last 13 years..

On both cars: if we crash someone (liability)

100,000 each accident
75,000 each person

Actual cash value of either or both cars.

Uninsured motorist: If a drunk with no insurance hits me or her:

100,000 each accident
50,000 each person

the rating symbols for my GT are 021-021 00
------------- wifes concorde are 014-014 00

I'm happy. Hell, I can afford to drive a Freaking Cobra:Woot: I think a Cobra rating is like 24 or maybe 26??

Oh and BTW this is with Nationwide

rebelyell 04-23-2007 11:29 PM

On another note we tried the geicko caveman thingy and LOL they couldn't come close to matching what I have now.. :D

v6'stang 04-24-2007 04:25 AM

damn i'm gettin' raped...$217/mo. and that's after it went down! i was payin' $315/mo. but i turned 21...that's full coverage on 03 v6 with state farm...lowest around here...

jareds98gt 04-24-2007 09:04 PM
