The two teams that make it to the super bowl aren't always necessarily the best teams with the best records. It simply boils down to which team plays better that particular day and therefore moves on. The bears and the colts have rallied against their competitors and have come out on top (regardless of what happened during the season) and for that they deserve to be in the super bowl. Don't get mad at the refs or at the other teams if your team lost because they didn't bring their a-game that day. I'm obviously a colts fan being from Indiana but I really could care less who wins. The best playing team will win and both teams are winners for making it this far....my 2 cents

You know what, I say let's get rid of the play-offs and have a BCS system for the NFL. At least that would settle the "that team got lucky in the play-off" shit and the "best teams did not make the SuperBowl" issue.

WTF?

Why not just let it be decided by divine right while were at it....lol

Seriously! What the hell? People bitch about the BCS, right? Then, they bitch about the play-offs? Holly hell! I guess it boils down to if your team looses, you cry about it either way.

You just can't please people.

silverstang04 01-24-2007 12:25 AM

I would rather it be the cowboys in it, but they did get the job done this year. I am proud of Lovey ( bet he got picked on daily in school) and Toney for being the first two afro americans to coach in a super bowl, but I am pulling for the Bears.

GoIn2Shock 01-24-2007 01:42 PM

I really enjoyed the playoffs this year. I was rooting for the Saints, but since they are out I'll be rooting for Peyton to finally get his ring. I'm a Redskins fan and the blew this year. We are always the off season champs, I'm looking forward to next year.

Well as ND fan you must love the BCS because there is no way in hell they would make it on merit if there was a playoff system. :hittingthefan: :poke:

this is just funny, ok people keep thinking the colts are just going to run over the Bears, just listen to ESPN. And the NFC isnt as bad as you guys think it is, the bears are just head and shoulders above the rest of the NFC. Yep the bears dont deserve to be there, THEY WON 13 Games in the season, but wait their schedule sucks, they went 2-0 in the playoffs but wait the NFC sucks and so does Grossman. PLEASE keep coming up with excuses of why the bears suck, because it makes me laugh. I dont know what you guys see in Grossman that makes him so bad, its still really his first full season as a starter, in peytons first year as a starter he threw 26 TDS and 28 ints and in his 4th (grossman is in his 4th) he threw 26 and 23, but hes Peyton hes awesome, Grossman has won just as many Title games as him. And as for other QBS that have won the SB, Terry Bradshaw had thrown for 20+ ints in 3 out of the 4 SB he won. And when he first started in the league people hated him and wanted him out.

But people seriously keep coming up with funny shit, its very entertaining

You Illinois people are hilarious! I admire your blind and unwavering devotion.

So would you still rather have shitty Grossman and his fumbles and INTs than the superbowl MVP Manning :) :Woot:

Total domination on all phases of the game except the first play of the game. It wasnt even as close as the score.

I also find it ironic that the dome team that didnt deserve to be here won the game in inclimate weather.

thats ok, the bears did get beat bad last night, but as bad as they did play last night they were still in the game till the end. I think more than anything they were out coached. Im not mad the Colts were a better team last night, the Bears will be back <-----Mark my words, I promise you.

I can still hang my hat the 85 bears and the 2005 White sox and the six bulls championships.

White04GT 02-05-2007 11:55 AM

Out coached? No the bears have a shitty QB thats why they lost. Yea they were in the game until good old Rex came out and threw 2 INTs. Manning is a leader thats the kind of QB you want in the superbowl.

Yeah they where in the game most of the game, kinda. But seeing as how they where up 8 in the first quarter then got outscored 23-3, it really wasnt competitive the last 3. Combine that with the fact that 7 came from Hester who is a stud, and the other two scoring drives where the result of Colts turnovers and mishaps which lead to short fields.

The Bears are a good team and where definatly the best in the NFC this year. They could definatly be back next year, but unlike this year they are going to have to earn it. They actually play quite a few good teams. But if they do make it next year they will be battle tested and much more likely to put up a fight.

Home games - Detroit, Green Bay, Minnesota, Dallas, N.Y. Giants, New Orleans, Denver, Kansas City

Away games - Detroit, Green Bay, Minnesota, Philadelphia, Washington, Seattle, Oakland, San Diego

But yeah you go ahead and hang your hat on the 85 Bears, laff. After all it was only 22 years ago. :kekekegay:

Thats about as gay as saying man I am a stud because in 85 I was home comming king, even though I am fat and balding now.

True, I am not going to argue anything that happened yesterday, it was an old fashion backside wooping. Are you a Colts fan? I see you are from IN. I have always wondered how the fan base is in IN for the Colts, because every fan I have met just seems like they are not really into it and just care when they win and could care less when they lose. I go to school close to IN and there are many Colts fans some that even play on football team that cant even name their Middle linebacker or Running back, all they know is peyton manning and marvin harrison and bob sanders. I've come to the conclusion that its becuase the colts didnt move there until the mid 80's. I wonder if people in baltimore are happy the colts won and I wonder if Browns fans were happy when the ravens won in 2000.

Just a thought

Im a Colts fan and have been for as long as I have been watching the NFL (early 90s). I would say that in the north west part of Indiana its still primarily bears fans. It kinda is a mix in most of the north, but the rest of the state is pretty Colt centerd.

The Colts moving here late has definatly hurt the fan base, that and up until the last several years they havent been all that good. Its the normal band wagon fandom you see anywhere when the going is good. I am sure it was the same to some extent in Chicago. Even soccer mom who has never seen a game now has a colts or bears jersey.
