Whos Fault Is This. Dont Do Business with MCM.
For over a year I have seen MCM on these boards and never had a problem with him till a recent transaction I did with him on these boards. I still couldn't believe his level of immaturity on this one. Now im asking you guys on whos fault is at here.
Heres the story
I posted in the classifieds a set of HIDS for sale. I posted the price, gave free shipping. Put good detail. I sold MCM Motorsports a BRAND NEW SEALED IN THE BOX set of HIDs at the good price of $200 for a real brand set of HIDs.
These HIDs are from www.xenonrider.com at $200.
After I got Michael's payment for the HIDs, THAT SAME DAY I bought a shipping label for the product, gave him free shipping, Sent him the tracking number that SAME NIGHT and his product was in the mail WITHIN 12 hours.
Michael got his product, Opened it, put it in his car, and even sent me PMs about how great they were, that he got them, installed them, loved them, and that he even wanted to buy fog lights from me for his car. He even posted a thread on the picture forum posting his HIDs and even put "thanks spin" on them.
I told Michael no problem. I even offered him a refund if anything arrived broken or if he was unhappy of any physical problem of product.
Michael the following day found a NO NAME brand on ebay called brand "X" for $150.00. He then sent me a PM saying that he found a set on ebay $50 cheaper and that he wants a refund for the item I sold him.
I told him that because the item wasn't physically damaged that id give him a refund to make him happy, but id have to take off 20% because now im stuck with a opened and used product for no reason. Specially for a product that I sold him BRAND NEW.
I can understand my fault for selling him a product that arrives damaged. But when a buyer wants to return an item becauses hes Emotionally unhappy and was not responsible to research online other brands and other makes and models I am not at fault here. That is something I cannot control.
Honestly this was something I could not believe from a fellow member specially Michael whos been here for a long time.
--
Now im asking the other members to let me know their feedback.
If you sell something BRAND NEW to someone, they get it, opened it up, take off all the seals, put it on their car, send you all these messages about how awesome it is, and they even post pictures of it. and the next day they find a immitation product for a little cheaper and tell you they want a refund, would you do it?.
Now I have to deal with Michael who claimed to paypal that I ripped him off and paypal is holding $200 from me.
Meaning now im most likely going to lose $200 to some stupid douchebag.
I read many feedbacks from Michael that he was a good online trader but this should show you guys who this douchebag really is. Sorry if i misspelled anything, im angry, its my birthday, and look what I have to deal with on my bday night.

No, IMO Spin, YOU are the at fault.
You promised a full refund, NO terms to your guarantee. When Mike got the set, realized they werent what you stated they were, and also found they were cheaper, he was obviously upset. If he asked for a refund, and you promised him a refund, then he deserves a refund.
It would be one thing if you had said, no returns, no refunds, or a 20% restocking fee. As a seller, you commit to the customers happiness.
Just my opinion, the final decision is between you and him, but Im not happy right now with what happened. You LIED to him. And to state they were MT HID's, then turns out they arent? Thats a no no. Sell what you have, and state what you have.
And before you go tarnishing someones name on the internet, be cautioned, MANY of us have done TONS of business with Mike, have met him in person, and would do anything in the world for him.

Well, Im confused... And we obviously don't have all of the info..
If you misinformed Mike of what the product was, then you need to refund the money and ...
I posted this @SN95forums a few days ago..
I don't care if you have 1 post or 1,000,000 you can still be a scammer. Now if he has 1,000,000 posts is he most likely going to be a scammer? Probably not, but that doesn't really make you any less vulnerable to the scam.
As always Buyer beware and use paypal along with some type of a credit card, or a debit card backed by Visa/ Mastercard etc... Paypal, yeah they have some protection, but 99% of Credit cards have buyer protection and if you have a problem then call your credit card company. You don't always have to rely on just Paypal to back you up. Just use your head, read EVERY word of the listing, ask for pictures and do your best to verify that it is legit. Most of the time people get scammed because they didn't read the 'fine print' or all of the listing.. Basically, if it seems like a scam.... It probably is.
Again, I don't care where you buy ANYTHING from. Unless you are looking at the item right in front of your eyes and you make the transaction you have the possibility of a scam not matter if they have 1 post or 1,000,000.. So, Buyer Beware.

I Told him BEFORE I sold it to him that these are exactly like MustangTunings through PMs, He KNOWS I am reselling HIDs, and even when he got them he still saw that he got them from a HID warehouse in california and even on the box it said the lights are from www.xenonrider.com. He STILL proceeded to OPEN THE BOX, open all the seals, installed them on his car, LIKED THEM, sent me messages about how much he DID like them, POST THREADS about how much he liked them, and just complament on them. Then later just because he found a cheap *** set on ebay for $150, he got mad and wanted a refund for it.
I am filing a suit through a Online Trading Law Firm for small claims to fight for my money through legal actions because paypal always grants the claims to the buyers.
MCM was 100% aware of everything that had happened and was happening. WHAT he should of done was when he got the item, if he saw it wasn't what he thought it was, sent it back for a refund, not open it and install them on his car and wear them out.
Like I said, I have delt with MCM and talked to him on these boards for over a year and never had a problem with him.

The only thing that I see that would make me thing you are full of **** is this:
AND, you posted the exact same thing @SN95forums.
I don't know man.. Seems kinda shady on your part.. And with that said, I believe that you will lose.. No matter what you sent in private messages etc. You didn't sell what you advertised..
I think you are fighting a losing battle here man.. Just return the money, and relist them on eBay, or any classified forum (with all of the correct info).. People most likely wont give a **** if they are open.

Im going to stop with this comment.
You and Mike will have to settle this. You know you are wrong, you sold something unadvertised. You promised him a full refund if he wanted it, then when he asked you to own up to your word, you backpedalled and said he could only have 80% back. Thats crap, and I hope you lose your battle.
