Anyone that has ever bought a car out of state from a dealership know what is involved. I live right on the ohio/pa border and my sister wants to buy a jetta at a dealership in pittsburgh and I dident know if you would have to get it inspected once i brought it back to ohio or what

Well I didn't buy from a dealer, but I bought my car from a guy in PA, I am in NC. I went up there, the DMV in PA gave me a temp. tag to drive it home, then I had like 30 days to get it inspected and registered in NC. It was a pretty simple process. I don't see why things would be different from a dealer. The car would need to be inspected in the location of ownership. Since you would be in a totally different state, I would think that the Ohio DMV would require you have it inspected in Ohio.
