Default PC Monitor Problem

My daughter has a Dell PC with a flat screen. Accidentially, the screen was flipped or rotated 90 degrees and we can't fix it. Something was pressed on the PC somehow, but we don't kinow how. When you re-boot, the computer comes up normally, but then rotates the screen 90 degrees.

Does anyone know how to fix? I have tried everything I can think of with no luck including searches on the web.

Are you saying it was a computer setting that did that or was there something on the monitor you hit to do that.

If it was a button on the monitor you hit then disconnect the monitor from the PC and also the power wait a little bit and it should reset.

If it was on the computer then you need to go to your monitor settings.

first hit the second button from the left in the bottom right hand of your screen. (its to the left of the minus sign and near the power button) this will bring up a menu. one of the options will be factory reset. try that and if that doesnt work right click on the desktop. if the computer has an NVIDIA graphics card the you can click the link that pops up that says NVIDIA Display. then go to the NVrotate option. if its not NVIDIA go to properties after right clicking on the desktop. go to the settings tab. once in the settings tab click advanced under the color quality. that will bring up several more tabs, one of which will be your video card. somewhere under your video card tab you will be able to rotate the screen.

Phill, thanks for the help! That worked. Reseting the screen did not work, but once I figured out which graphics card I had from your instructions I found the rotate option and got it fixed. Took 30 seconds with your help.
