Got in huge trouble tonite!!!!!!!
Ok i was bringing 2 smoking hot chicks for a ride tonite and we were just crusing shifting at 2500 and they asked if i ever got pulled over and i said yea. They asked what happened and i told them...All the sudden i was like thats a cop speeding up on me. and right when i said me the lights came on...and here is the convo.
Cop: license and reg. now
I hand it to him and he go's to his cruise for about 5 mintues he comes back out and says
Cop: Step on it
so i then reved it to 4 grand and he said thats why i am pulling u over
15 mintues later he comes and says
This is you 3rd ticket for this exhuast and now this aint no normal ticket this is a criminal applicaton and we will see you in court in a week. He then tooks pics. of my exhaust and came to the window and said i have a week to change my setup after teh court date and if its not changed then i the RMV pulls my plates and i have to get my car towed and fixed then get it inspected by them again!!!! so yes i am thankful i am selling my car

Yeah I never understood those laws. Damn Harleys or similar bikes are LOUD AS HELL! To the point they make me squint my eyes like damn that is way to loud. I don't get how they can get away with it.

#3: Take a year off from a loud Mustang. Put a milder setup on it and make Johnny Law happy, just for a little bit. Heck, don't know why god ever made SLP for Mustangs anyways. 5.0's and 4.6's were built for Chambered Mufflers.

And no, SLP is not 50 state legal based on the DB rating.....I don't even think the LMII's are 50 state legal....I don't think they are lega in Cali.

I completely agree with mcmmotorsports, I just bought a bike a couple weeks ago and it's so quiet that i can barely here it when im standing right next to it.
most bikers change the pipes for their own safety. since it's hard to see a bike, they make it so you can definitely hear them. i want to change the pipes on my bike out. not so they're as loud as most bikes though, just a little louder than stock.

Motorcycles are allowed to be louder. As far as Ohio goes, passenger cars (mustangs) are only allowed a maximum of 70 dB's at 35 MPH and below and 77dB's at above 35. Motorcycles are allowed 82 dB's at 35 and below and 88 dB's at 35 and above. My dad has a Harley and was pulled over for exhaust, but appealed because his pipes ran at about 85 dB's when he was going 50. I would try and find some way to measure your muffler's dB output and then if it's less than whatever you're state law says, you won't get the ticket.

The cop will not be happy until you have seriously reduced the noise. You first have to check your local law and see what DB level do you have to be at to be legal. You may get another setup and may not be within the acceptable range. Do your homework first before you buy anything and buy a DB meter at radio shack so you can see where you are at now. Start looking up the law that you have broken. Post the ticket up here so we can take a look at it or at least the infraction.

If members were honest and say Im an idiot for buying slps on my daily driver, the loudest system made, that would be more accurate statement. If I change my SLPs it would be because its too loud and Id rather heard the whine of a KB.

thats sucks, funny thing happened this morning a cop stopped traffic to let me out of my driveway because of construction on the road and i was like o **** i hope he doesnt hear how loud my car is SLP O/R X and Borla Stingers he stopped traffic and said i like your mustang can u rev it so i did and he said he loves the sound!! so that was cool didnt know cops around my area were that chill..

maybe i am of my rocker here, but isn't that kind of entrapment by telling you to rev your engine?
even if her heard it, does he have the right to tell you to do that? i know in iowa if you get pulled over for something and they want to search your car, you can say no and they cant do a damn thing about it.

here is the state law
The bill to ban the sale or installation of “an exhaust system which has been modified in a manner which will amplify or increase the noise emitted by the exhaust” was not considered by the Massachusetts State House of Representatives before the legislature adjourned for the year. Like previous efforts in Massachusetts, the bill ignored the fact that aftermarket exhaust systems are designed to make vehicles run more efficiently without increasing emissions; did not supply law enforcement with a clear standard to enforce, allowing them to make subjective judgments on whether or not a modified exhaust system is in violation; and would have made it difficult for hobbyists to replace factory exhaust systems with more durable, better performing options. The bill had been revised from last year’s version to exclude limited-use “antique motor cars.” Though unlikely, the bill could be revived in special session later this year. We will keep you updated as events warrant
