Default bullit intake on a gt?

can you drop a 4v bullit intake into a regular 01 gt? how much work is involved? and what other parts would you need?

.. and is it worth the price lol?

Yes, you can drop a Bullitt intake on to a GT.

Bullitts are not 4V's however, they are 2V's just like the GT. The intake and cat-back are the only differences in the powertrain.

As he said yes they are a direct bolt on. They are expensive though about 1300 bucks when it's all said and done and very small gains on a normal car. You can get a much better bang for the buck with one of the after market plenums and a 70 or 75 mm throttle body IMO.

bullitts dont even have a different cat back. just exhaust tips. it does have a less-restrictve intake though. that is all.

wrong, it has less restrictive mufflers that are also louder and made to sound like the older 67 Gt in the movie bullit, but it does have those special tips.

It does....Islander is right...Stock GT TB is 65mm.

Just a heads up, when you go to transfer the TPS over (unless the one on ebay has one already), you need to use an impact screwdriver, or be very, very careful that you don't strip the heads from the two screws holding it on. They're loctited from the factory.

I had to do this yesterday. I managed to muscle the screws out with regular screwdriver but it made my wrist a bit sore.

I got the screws out with a hand screwdriver, it wasn't hard and I didn't strip them.

That has the stock plenum as well... no GT's came stock with a 70mm TB, the TB is just the part on the left of the item. The pony is on the plenum. The TB will say Ford if it is an FRPP piece.

Don't pay someone to do this... its very easy. Since you have it on a stock plenum there you can practice before adding it to yours.

so i'm looking at plenum's on ebay now. i get the throttle body part, 65mm is stock, and 70-75mm is better for more performance. but how do you tell or how can you tell if the after market plenum is better than the stock one?

can anyone link to some good ones? or should i pony up the cash and buy the set from MT here?

I haven't seen an aftermarket plenum yet that doesn't perform better than stock.
