Diet Tips, for those of you looking to lose weight.

Typed this myself and sent it to Stang00 so just desided to share it with all of you who might be interested too.

------------------------------------------------------

Yo, Quick tips for dieting.

All this is serious info too, Im a personal trainer for a local gym here.

Great way to lose weight quickly. I did this when I was younger. Now no matter what I tell you the main key is you need to learn to fight with your mind and your cravings, this is probably the hardest part, i couldn't even do this on my own, So i somewhat "cheated" by getting diet supplements, If you have the money id suggest getting some such as Thermonex, Lipo 6, Stacker 3, and the list goes on, every month or so they are always bringing new crazy **** to the market but unless you go to the gym daily id stay away from crazy stuff, and if you have known heart problems id consult a doctor before taking anything.

How these supplements work,

The main thing they do is boost your metabolism, now the key to losing weight is not fasting, its eating right several times a day and having a really fast metabolism, Normally you should eat 4-6 SMALL meals a day. I'll explain more of that later on.

Another thing supplements target is energy increase which make your heart move at a faster pase, now the pros about this is that it will help you be more energetic and sometimes you'll just start to sweat by just doing normal walking, which is good because your always burning off fat. The cons is that you'll probably have a hard time sleeping at first, you will seem cracked out and your heart will be moving alot faster, for more info you should check out any diet supplement website.

Now if you deside to take any supplements or not thats your choice, but honestly they work but you need to do your part too.

Eating. If your serious about losing weight, id eat the following:

-Turkey, Tuna, Low Fat Yogurts, Lean Meat, Grilled Chicken, Egg Whites, Wheat bread or a wrap. Now when i frst started dieting I just ate turkey on wheat bread all day.

My normal eating rutein was,

Breakfast
-Egg whites or special K cereal for breakfast with just a SMALL tad of milk or if not you can use skim milk. Milk is high on fats so id stay away from it. Now you can eat anywhere from a small bown to a large bowl, but out of all your meals dont miss breakfast, most important meal in the day.

2 hours or so after breakfast,
-Low fat yogurt or some fruits, Im a body builder so id take some protein shakes instead but if your just concentrating on losing weight id just eat fruits or something.

2 hours later (lunch time)
-Turkey on wheat sandwich. Just a slice of turkey, nothing els. If not maybe a piece of grilled chicken, something small or some tuna in water. Stay away from subways tuna as that is made in complete mayo and mayo willl make you fatter.

2 hours later,
-Low fat yogurt, fruits, protein shake, slice of turkey, something small.

Dont eat carbs after 5:00/6:00pm.

but for dinner maybe some grilled chicken or something lean, no carbs. very important, no rice/bread/beans.

an hour or so later maybe like a fruit or something small.

Now remember what you want to avoid is fasting, when you fast what happens is your energy is just storing fat for "emergency", so anything you eat is just stored as fat, if you keep eating every tad amount of hours your body wont hold stuff you eat. Another reason why breakfast is so important, because your breaking the "fasting" you did all night ("break-fast").

Other notes:
Drinks, No soda, not even diet sodas, diet sodas contain a lot of chemicals which actually destroy your body more. No milk, no beer, etc. Replace it all with water or something like green tea. Stay away from fruit juices too as they are high in sugar and sugar is hard to burn off.

If you do some cardio you will increase your weight loss by 50%. Even if its just 2-3 times a week for 20 minutes. Easier way to do all this is get a buddy and join the gym, will keep you motivated. Just try this for a month, it will really pay off and once you start seeing the results you will be more motivated to do it. But also just to let you know, once you stop dieting you will gain weight very very fast so dont go all out if you ever stop. Sorry if i misspelled anything dont want to go back and read it all. Anything els send me a message on AIM.

twinkies and beer. its all you need. lol.

when I lived in Ohio I weighed 240lbs at 5'11''

In the three years since I have moved here to ATL..I now am 195-200 lbs and yeah still the same height..lol.

I did nothing to diet, exercise...nothing. no change from when I lived in ohio...so how do I account for the loss....Doc says I am healthy.

SpinMedia 08-15-2006 08:18 AM

LOL maybe its all the mosquitos you ate from driving fast with the windows down.

lmao....yeah thats it.

seriously I have alway wondered why i lost 40 lbs. could the climate be the reason...hot most of the time...I work in no A/c condition (we have a ancient shop)

SpinMedia 08-15-2006 08:34 AM

lol probably because your sweating all the time, when i stopped living with my parents and had to buy food on my own i lost a lot of weight too, didn't have mommy feeding me all day.

csledd 08-15-2006 08:35 AM

you didn't mention this at all but I think weight lifting is a great way to stay in shape too. Muscles will burn more calories when you're just sitting around watching tv. but if your goal is weight loss and your weight lifting, dont go by pounds lost, go by inches lost.. because obviously muscles weighs more than fat

Try any of the 40-30-30 health bars like the Balance Bars. They are light and healthy... and get your metabolism off on the right foot! Avoid the high carb bars like the classic powerbars unless you are excercising. :breakdancesmilie:

silverstang04 08-15-2006 07:38 PM

I don't like to do to much of that on my work computer, these things are kinda finiky and I don't want them to try and blame the fact that I was on some outside site that caused it to crash, so maybe when I get home. :argue:
