Finally picked a Clutch and stuck with it. I bought a Spec stage 2 from Mustangtuning this morning. Hopefully it gets here by the weekend so i can install it and start breaking it in. Then its off to the dyno when its done being broken in. Hoping to hit the 370-380rwhp with my mods.

bout time you get a clutch spike. yours has gotta be fried with the way you drive. im on my stock one with zero slip and 52k miles.

spike_africa 08-01-2006 11:28 AM

Yeah its not that the clutch slips. Its just that there isnt much of a off and on point which tells me the clutch material is getting very very low. So its about time i did something about it. Plus mattj your still n/a :) you should really get some of the bottle on there.

4.6love i could of sworn you had a vortec on your car. Lol i had no idea you were on the bottle aswell.

03AZRoush 08-01-2006 11:37 AM

let me know how you like the clutch. Im gonna be upgrading soon

4.6 Love 08-01-2006 12:01 PM

Hey spike, now that we are on the subject...i'm thinking of changing my clutch as well...i don't want it to give out while off at school...anyways would a spec 1 be good for me since i don't do any racing these days? What about the king cobra?

madmatt 08-01-2006 12:22 PM

I have a King Cobra, only problem being that its still under my bed waiting for me to quit being lazy :D

I have a KC in my car and I like it. increased pedal effort, but I like it that way. Grabs great.

Icefreezen 08-01-2006 03:49 PM

You bastard your helping me put in what I might buy that you mentioned earlier today....so expect a simililar project coming your way

shad0ws 08-01-2006 03:50 PM

Haha, have fun. Never had to do it in my stang. Stock clutch could possibly still be going at this moment but she is totalled. 92,000 and still working great at the time.

Stage ones are good no chatter at all because there still an organic mix.
