Please don't close this. This is a VERY serious thread. I wan't to hear the opinions of members on the legality and useage of Marijuana. I wouldve put this in Political, but it stretches beyond that. We haven't had a good discussion on the forums because theyve been, well..dead. I honestly would like to hear what people have to say. As long as it is kept at mature level, I beleive this can be a very interesting topic.

If you have an opinion on the use, political aspect, or any other topic regarding cannabis, state it.





I personally think that there is no good reason marijuana is illegal. It makes no sense to me. America's laws contradict themselves. If you think you have a reason, post up.


Now...useage, well ya'll no me. I think when it comes down to it, do you consider marijuana "wrong?" if so why? because it's a drug, and drugs are bad? that reason wont work, I want a legitmate one. Seriously, if you do..why do you consider it wrong? I bet i can disprove whatever theory it is you have

all i know is i dont want some high dude driving next to me late at night. i lost a good friend of mine in high school cuz he drove high.

 

i think its sad America has to make laws to try to prevent people from doing dumb things....we are becoming a very sad nation.
if it wasnt illegal i would think it is just as bad...
it is wrong because it ruins your brain and prevents you from making wise decisions.getting drunk is just as bad in my book for the same reson, it ruins your brain and prevents you from making wise decisions. people cant fullfill their potential when they're high or drunk

 

If you smoke weed, do it in your own house, don't do it around other people that may not want to be associated with it. =\

marijuana smokers arent all lazy dumbasses. it just so happens that alot of lazy dumbasses smoke marijuana.

by the way marijuana is proven to NOT kill brain cells. it impaires memory for a few days after use but thats it

I think its illegal for a reason. Although I think they SHOULD make it legal and tax the **** out of it, and make a fortune. Its just unsafe to make it legal in my opinion.

yeah...
when America makes laws to try to stop people from doing stupid things...it never works....look at the roaring 20s...but i do think it discourages it and trys to tell the person that its wrong

first of all...when did i say all pot smokers were lazy and dumb...only thing i said is they made a wrong decsion
secondly, it is wrong because it destroys your mind! when you come on the boards and post when you are high u just seem so stupid.however when you are sober you can reason intelligently!

i believe you are a smart person but when you smoke pot you arnt yourself...

This may sound corny, but I believe cannabis has changed me into a better person. I have a much broader point of view ( i can see things from everyones perspective), it has made me realize and recognize my responsibilties, i have a greater understanding of the reason of life and why I exist, and im a much calmer, nicer person.

well some people may or may not accept my logic. which is why im not willing to share it. i firmly beleive i am correct, but everyone has different opinions and will probably think mine is bull****, or wont accept it. but because i understand why im alive, i can live a much happier, full life.

the reason we exist is a very good topic...but it seems to me people try to make up there own "reason" to exist....
people do drugs and alcohol and sex to try to fullfil the empty feeling they have inside...i belive the only way to eternaly fullfil that emptiness is in Jesus Christ.
He has made my life so fulfiled and happy.
Sure life is not always good and cheery...but i always have the joy of Christ in me!

people who want to smoke marijuana, smoke marijuana. it is VERY easily attainable just about anywhere. the law isnt stopping many. but when someone is imprisoned for smoking a plant that impairs you to a point where you are still much more coherent then if you were slightly drunk, i think thats just messed up. innocent, nice, good people have wrongly gone to jail for that reason

 

thats why imho....being drunk is wrong also!

 

why!? IMO people have a right to do whatever the hell they want to themselves. as long as it doesnt endanger anyone else (drunk driving, very wrong) why does it matter?
