best way to check for exhaust leaks..

whats the best way to check for exhaust leaks? any particular method work the best?

I always just wrap both my hands around the joint and if there is a leak you would feel it...Have to do it fast though before the exhaust gets too hot

i do what fastbk does but i dont wrap my hands around it..i basically leave atleast a half inch between my hand and metal

i got a really bad leak where my header meets my midpipe

Put a rag in each of the tailpipes and then listen for the leaks...
