Uh Oh......
Guess what? I am unemployed. My boss was nice enough to call me at 11:30 this morning to tell me that he had to let me go. Oh well, I would like to say it was good while it lasted but it wasn't.
I am not upset, just a little surprised because it was done over the phone.

that was chicken **** to call you on the phone and do that. Makes me think of the commercial where his boss calls him and lays him off as well then the guy asks where he is calling from and his boss says the big conference. His boss is standing at the podium and the guy comes from the right hand side of the screen and just lays him out

Well that blows. Tell ya what, thats what ya get for using the place as a distribution center for some gool ol columbian blow.
As for people saying he shoulda told you in person... Why?,... why waste the gas to drive all the way to work just to get sent home? Aint like doing it in person is gonna make anything better. I'd be pissed if i drove 20 min to work just to get canned, i'd probably rob the **********er for some gas money. I'd rather get a call instead so i could go back to bed or his the bar.
As for the reason he let you go, basically too bad. Just about every idiot on these boards is gonna tell you to sue him or call the BBB or whatever. You certainly can go that avenue, but honestly it would be a waste of time because nothing would happen from it except you would rack up a ****load of lawyers bills and still be unemployed. Some fights just aint worth it.
i dunno where yer at, colorado is a "no fault" state, meaning they can fire you on a whim just for the hell of it. Funny thing is that only happens on the lower end of the career spectrum. As in delivery drivers, fast food, kmark floor clerk, etc etc. When somone gets fired from my jobn they still go through the process of putting the person on a corrective action plan, training plan, etc etc, plus they have to log every time the person was late, and if they are black or hispanic then forget ever firing them. it wont happen. Honestly, i think it would be better if bosses could just **** can you if they felt like it. Do yer job and you wont have anything to worry about, might find jobs being a lot easier without the barnicals sucking the side of the ship.
