Default God Dam**t!!!!

Was hanging out with some of the local dubbers at a local grocery store and we all start talking about my car. I'm like the only one with in the whole group with a 24v VR6 instead of the 12v VR6 so they want to see how fast it is. So anyways, they eventually start talking about me running against this guy who is inbetween dubs right now and is driving a B18 swap Integra LS with the usual handful of mods give or take a few. But anyways, I had a bad feeling about it from the beginning for some reason but I finally agreed after alot of talking.

So anyways, we line up and the drop of the hands goes down and we are off!!! I start pulling him right away and bam, I slam second and start to pull harder and then BAM!!!! I slam 3rd and I snap a ****ing motor mount!!! (still pulling though ) Anyways, we all go back to the grocery store and I baby it back the whole time. We pull up and I pop my hood and everyone is like "what happened man." I keep the hood popped and rev my motor and say "watch this ****ing bull****." My motor literally looks like it's swiveling on a door hinge when any throttle what so ever is applied. Now when doing this it's rotating the motor and pulling my transmission so it's makes a terrible grinding feeling on the pedal the whole time.

Talked to the guy I raced and he knows about all the VW **** and he says, they will cover it under warranty because VW motor mounts are notorious for snapping even under daily driven circumstances and I'm thankful for that. But anyways, I get home and look up some mounts online and a polyurethane mount is ****ing $180!!! JUST ONE!!! So now I have to baby it all the way to the dealership which is a good 30 minutes away and tell them I just want to put a better mount in there so it doesn't happen again.

.end rant

They wont give you anything but an OEM or cheap *** aftermarket part. You wont get any performance aftermarket parts for that from the dealership.

I work for service at a chevy dealership. They cant give you any performance aftermarket parts. They can only provide oem because volkswagon will be covering the money for this, not the dealership and it will have to clear through them, not the dealership.

I'm not talking about them paying for the aftermarket mount but just putting it for me so I don't have to worry about breaking one everytime I get down on it. I'm going to pay for the polyurethane mount but I just want them to put it in.

im surprised it didnlt snap when u shifted into 2nd it seems weird that it would snap in 3rd and not second seeing how second is usually a stronger shift

Yeah, I wondered on about the samething but while reading up on VW motor mounts last night I found out that the strange clunking sound that happens when I release the clutch is actually a tell tail sign for a motor mount about to snap. The car had been making that noise since the day I bought so it was ready to go at anytime.
