Right now I run a parts department at a full service truck leasing and auto/diesel repair shop. Now I'm thinking about applying for the Maryland Transportation Authority Police. What do you do?

Yeah, we've got some guys out there fixing it now. They're bound and determined to get that thing in the air again. I'm not sure, but I THINK somewhere in the pilots checklist for landing, it says PUT THE GEAR DOWN!!!! Granted, they had been up for a LONG time, but a lot of people (crew, tower, flight safety) messed up on that one.

I had heard the same rumor...I'm just glad I'm not there. I was out in Diego Garcia last year when the Ellsworth jet's nose gear collapsed. 100 degrees and 100 percent humidity equals NO fun working on lifting and repairing a downed jet.

If it was the one that departed the runway, I wasn't out there for that one. Saw the pictures though...they called it Swamp Buggy...there was mud, water, grass, seaweed, you name it, crammed into all the inlets and any opening on that jet. I think I asked before, but what's your last name and what rank was your dad when he was here at Dyess?

Lt. Col Scott Jackson callsign "Action". his last 2 years he went over to the 436th to teach a flight saftey class. but before he worked at the 9th and 28th. have you ever met a pilot with a call sign of "Gearbox". hes got some nice cars, ones a silver zo6 and another is a 65 vette?

Your dads name sounds familiar...I don't know too many of the pilots by callsigns...

I'm that pesky guy that always tries to talk you into buying a phone and signing a contract in cell phone stores so I can get commission and pay for mods on my car.
