got my first fuking ticket today and i have only had my lisence for less than a month. the cop was a major *******. i was cruising at 45 then this slow as car was in fornt of me soo i downshifted and gased it to pass him and the cop was standing on the side of the expessway behind a tree using a laser gun . then he ran out in the rode and told me to pull over and stop soo i was like ***. then the dude was like soo how fast do u think i you were goin ( the speedlimit is 45) i though only like 55 and then the guy was like ur wrong u were goin about 70 but i will write u down as 64 ( cuzz anything over 65 is 20 over the limit ) soo he ws nice about that but other than that he gave a me a lecture and ****. so i ahve to go to traffic court now and also pay a fine. How much do u guys think the fine will be i was 19 over the speed limit?

 

How old are you? It will probaly be a nice little fine, but in ohio if your under 18 you lose your license for 30 days i dont know how it works in other states.

That sucks dude. I got pulled over the other day and the cop asked me how fast I was going and I said "the speed limit". She gave me a dirt look and she told me I was going 20 over. I said that is impossible. The first though in my head was my valentine one radar would have gone off but it didnt. So I asked her to show me her rader because all cops have to clock it in case the suspect asks to see it. She said she didnt have it locked in. So she couldnt give me a ticket. She walked back to her car and came back and then started bitching about my tint. I told her the percentages that were legal here in Texas and what my was and told her to check it if she wanted to. She didnt have a tint meter either. She told me "I will let you go this time" I was like uh... ok. I didnt do anything? Ya so I hate cops here they just want to give you a ticket for no reason.

Dude, you'll find that most cops are ********, if you want to know how much your fine is just call the magistrate listed on your ticket and give them you ticket #.

 

i got pulled over for a similar situation.....It was a 2 lane street...and I was in the left lane behind some slow *** old lady driving a old person car (grand Marquis) The speed limit was 30 and I was right behind her as she was only going like 20...So...I get an opputunity to go in the right lane once it was clear so I could pass her and then get back in the left lane but in front of her....welp...I go into the right lane...gun it to 40 (went to 40mph cause I wanted to get by her quickly) and once I was passing her the cop was right there parked and clocked me ,he was behind some trees so by the time I was passing her, he clocked me going 40 and pulled me over....WTF!!!!!

I swear..its cause of these old *** slow people that make me get tickets....If she went atleast the speed limit I would be ok... but I have a "Deisease" that I must atleast be at speed limit or imma loose my patience.

and yea..I said Slow *** old people that drive like they driving miss daisy.

 

i took my 04 Si to 128 no problem. and civics dont fall apart, their bulletproof. nothing happens to them

 

One monthg with lic + 16 years old + Mustang = Ticket everytime

I used to live in Cali and I would say your fine will be $150 - $200.

BTW, I don't think they use magistrates in Ca....that is an East Coast thing. He will see the judge. You should go and ask for probation. I believe you can do that in Ca. You will still pay a fine and because of your age, there may be special rules.

I am 38 and have prolly gotten 7 - 8 tickets over the years. Most for speeding, one for a stop sign and one for an illegal turn. None were for high rates of speed, just the usual BS. I once got one for going 6 mph over.

I just went to traffic court for a 60 in a 40. My record is currently clean as a whistle as I have not had a violation in about 5 years +, so the magistrate dropped the ticket to a 45 in a 40 and changed it to a non-points violation. The original fine was $158 and so they sent money back to me.

BTW, I drive over 60,000 miles per year and have done so for the last 15 years. That's 900,000 miles with about 4 tickets....not too bad if you ask me, or about one every 225,000 miles. Let's hope my luck hold.

They have a quota to meet every month or something for ticket amounts so they just try to find any excuse to write you one

 

You'll be fine. Expect to pay around $150-200. And ask to go to traffic school. Or you could try and fight it. If you want to let me know because I have a great set of advice I used to get out of an 82 in a 55. California FTW!

 

Not always. Im the perfect example. Got the car at age 16, had my license for a year though. Still no tickets almost 3 years later. :banana:

I got you all beat. I'm 26 and have had over 20 tickets!!!! (also been in 5 wrecks that I haven't been ticketed for, no damage to their car).

Yeah, I suck at following laws!

Cops Just love me though, been pulled over for many BS things:

3 times, during race weekend because I was "swerving" but haven't had an ounce of alcohol in my system.

2 times for older cars with smoked headlights (in the middle of the day)

5 times for window tint (only ticketed once, 2 months ago...****er!)

2 times because my car or me fit the description of a "suspect"

One thing i can tell you, is that your insurance will love you..
