Well, I have already made my mind up about the new GT500, but maybe this will help some more of you...another way for Ford to become more and more communistic in the way they do business.

Read that, it talks about the pulley swap issue on the GT500. But of course, FORD sells an upgrade kit, AND probably a Whipple upgrade too! :censored: you Ford.

No but seriously, I would imagine the main reason is Ford wants to avoid some of the issues they had with the 03-04 cars when people upped the boost.

The Shelby is already a high strung car, they dont want people blowing up the motor, trans, etc.

 

No, they KNOW people are going to mod them. I understand the warranty thing, but people CANNOT leave these cars alone, and they know that. Trying to make money and trying to run all the other aftermarket companies out of business are two completely different things as well.

 

I agree with that hissman guy, it can be removed.. might be a pain but I wouldn't doubt it.

 

Thats ****ty on fords side...But someone will come out with a fix for it one way or the other!

Sorry but I don't see what the problem is, you already got 500hp from the factory, why the need to speed-up the blower already? you want another 50hp, add headers and a good tune.

they can, they can buy another blower for it or whatever else external mods. Ford does not want people to dick-around wth the stock blower or pulley because of overdriving the supercharger and most will do that wthout a proper tune and hurt the engine, then when you break the engine and ask FoMoCo for a "free-ride" from Fords warranty, (because you didn't know what the hell you were doing in the first place), we ALL lose.

same as the Ford GT you swap the front snout off the blower boom done, problem solved. its not a big deal.

 

why do we care? it's still a new car, it will get figured out...99% of us will never own this car anyway. there is always a way around things, its not the end of the world
