I liked Shamrock until I saw TUF 3, now I have a new respect for Ortiz. So my money is on Ortiz, mainly because he beat Shamrocks *** pretty bad the first time.

they are both good fighters, but i think ortiz is better, and more well rounded. shamrock seems too much of just a stand up dude to me. he's tough, no doubt about that. ortiz beat shamrocks face in on the last fight and shamrock was still ready to fight, but they called it if i remember.

The last fight I saw Shamrock in was against Rich Franklin. He had his but kicked. Ortiz will probably do the same.:bash:

Both are great fighters, Ortiz will knock him out. Shamrock just cannot cut it anymore imo.

I personally like Shamrock, wish he would win against Ortiz. But just don't think it'll happen. Never know though...that's why they fight.

I think Ortiz will destroy Shamrock again. I just cant see Shamrock winning after the *** beaten Ortiz gave him. It looked like shamrock was hit with a bat repeatedly, and Ortiz was untouched

Same here. I didn't care for Ortiz at all until the that show. He seems to be a good guy.

The Shamrock 10 years ago would have put up a good fight, but he might need to quit before he embaresses himself. I'll still pull for him but I don't think it's going to happen. Sort of like Royce Gracie fighting Matt Hughes.:surrender

I have no respect for Shamrock after UFC3. He didn't even bother to coach his team while Ortiz poured his heart and soul into his guys.

Too bad they don't let them fight like they used to, bare knuckles and pretty much no rules. That's when the UFC was really no holds barred. I still think Ortiz is still a better fighter. He knows how to push Shamrock's buttons.

Tell me about it, these newer ufc fights would'nt last half as long if they could do the things they used to.

I am putting my money on Ortiz, maily cause he trains really close to my house!! Big Bear baby!!! But I am not going to underestimate Shamrock, I think he could have done alot better in their last fight. But either way, the fight is long over due and is going to be a kick @ss fight!! Grudge Matches are the best!!
Shamrock= Experience=Strength, Intense Hatred......Ortiz= Young, Energetic, Great Cardio, and mental Strength!!

Can't wait!!

Oh and Tim Silvia is going to rock Arloski...

anyways, i missed the fight, i'd ask how it went, but im sure i already knoew.
ortiz/shamrock fight was a BS fight. ref called the fight 1:18 into the first round. Tito got on top of him and landed 4 decent elbows and shamrock was trying to bar his arms to prevent being hit and the judge thought he saw inactivity from shamrock which was pure BS. It was obvious he was trying to push titos arms back.

oh and sylvia beat andrei arlovsky like i told everyone would happen. it was a 5 round of stand up boxing the entire fight.

Sylvia landed way more blows and he controled the fight. Arlovski was very held back and didnt come in very much. He did land more kicks to sylvias knees though. I think thats the only reason he won two rounds...
