I cant. I cannot sell this car. There is something inside me that WILL NOT ALLOW myself to sell this car. Ive been looking HARD for a replacement, of a different brand, but I cant bring myself to. Its my baby. My pride, my joy. I love this car. Im back in the game. Slow, but DAMN good looking. Just needs a heater core, back brakes, front tires, and an alignment and shes set. Oh, and an oil change. I love this car.

I hear ya Matt.I had a chance to trade mine for a 03 Cobra last weekend but I just could'nt get myself to do it.I don't really care anymore if I'm the "fastest" and I have some plan's for mine that I want to finish.
Also I only have 2 year's left to pay this thing off and then I'm getting a 4x4 for a DD and then have the best of both world's.

Yeah i used to drive a V6 when i was in high school and when i got out i had to have a GT so i bought a new GT paid out the *** for it when i could have paid the V6 off and swapped motors. I would be a lot faster right now and alot cheaper. I'll never make that mistake again.
So good idea keeping the stang.

wasn't ther someone on this board that had a stang....got a ws6...and now wants a stang again because the ws6 is a pita to park and drive daily?? I could be wrong lol
There is always more to a car than just flat out speed and horsepower. I know for a fact my car is slow compared to some of the cars on the market today....do I care?? no...I love my car and it will be very tough to get rid of it

oh well...the body differences are not much between a ws6 and the step below lol
meaning a ws6 would be as much of a pain to park as the trans am lol
I will stick with this slow GT thanks

I was just being sarcastic with my slow GT remark
all I am saying is I know my GT is not the fastest thing on the road

If you do sell your car then go out and buy something economical like a honda civic. You will be pushing 30 street 35 highway.
Edit: Or you could just be like me and buy a cobra...I had a v6 that I liked alot, but the cobra is way more fun.

Hmm, that would be. I actually tried my hardest to talk matt out of getting a Trans Am because I didn't want him to go through the same things I'm going through.
And on a side note, my trans am is SOLD!!!

Yea, I actually have never owned an import, just wanted one for a long time when I was younger. I love this car, even though its being a bitch constantly now that its higher mileage, but Ill deal with it. It will just be nice to not have a payment each money. That = more money for house. And lance, dont even THINK about selling your car for a damn truck. I will smack you. And you want to talk about a big regret...THAT my friend, is what you find under regret in the dictionary...

I just have to much love for this car to just get rid of it.I have people everyday saying how they just love it and how they love the wheel's and hood.So I say screw it!!I'm keeping my baby LOL

And talking about regret.A friend of mine traded his 02 GT off about 2 months ago.Well I pulled in to where he work's today and he kept looking at my car and saying how bad he misses his.He said after about a week he could hardly stand not having his Stang anymore.
I know if I ever did I would miss it the next day!!

I think at one time or another we have all thought about selling. But I can tell you one thing, if I were to go a get a 2003 Cobra or a 2005+ GT, it would just look, sound, and drive like everyone elses.
In a few weeks, I will be left with no car payments and own all three of my cars. There is something to be said about that. I also think truthfully that my days of buying new cars are OVER. The last two that I have gotten were both used. I saved a ton of money, and the guy next to you at the light will never know the difference.
Christy.....if I were you, get that thing paid-off as fast as you can, and then enjoy not having a payment. I fyou sell it, you will take a beating and have to drive something you hate. However, if your life has become having to work for a car payment, then it might be time to get new priorities because then there is never time to better yourself when you have to work a crappy job. It's a Catch 22 many young people find themselves in.
