Default My new Bike

Started riding @ amonth ago, after my MSF class.Bought an '05 GS500F,a 1000 miles later I traded up.BIG TIME.I'm an owner of a 2003 Honda VTR100F Superhawk 996.Just like the GS it was a brand new leftover.Paid$3200 before taxes and the dealer crap(Bike was discounted to $6700 and I got $3500 for the GS).It was @$4500 after all was said and done.Best part was Progressive considers it a cruiser because its a V-twin.My ins went up a whole $4.Needless to say I'm still in the break in,but just from yest and today I can say this bike is flatout kick ***!!!!

Yeah,I know only a month, but to quote my best friend, who's been riding for 30+ years(Yeah I'm up there),I took to it like a duck to water.Well I took the GS up to Estes Park via hwy 7 and then down hwy 36.After losing track of the times I was almost blown into the other lane just from mild winds I wanted a heavier bike.Even around town the GS w/ its light weight and smallish rear tire were nerve wracking(sp?) in anything more than a mild gust.I didn't get the Superhawk to pull wheelies down Washington or to go stoplight to stoplight w/ Gixxers or 'Busa's.I needed a good handling bike w/ some weight to it.I considered a V Star for a day,but just HATE the sitting position. The positioning on the Superhawk is more aggressive than the GS,but as crazy as it sounds it feels more natural, esp in turns.
