Ouch man, that sucks... I don't think i would have lied about the license though, he could have looked that **** up... then you would have been in more trouble...

Correct me if I'm wrong but in Oregon the cop cannot be hiding behind somthing, the driver has to be able to see him before he clocks, not see him with enough time to slow down but still see him. Also, you have like 45 days to prove that you have a valid license or somthing along those lines, but your license was expired so i think your SOL there. I dont know how it is where you live but thats how I think it is here. Again, correct me if I'm wrong cause I dont want to get pulled over and use either of those defenses in court and look like a dumbass.

Hopefully you dont get hit to hard after the court date, good luck.

LOL were I a judge, Id laugh at that argument anyway. He knew he was speeding, whether he saw me clocking or not.

I know in Florida as long as the cop is visible from at least one angle in 360 degrees it's okay to "hide"

Oh, I dont doubt any judge would but still any defense I can use I would. Once you get a ticket now-a-days the chances of getting it dropped in full are slim to none. I just wanted to know if it was true or not.

Hopefully you get a dumb judge that won't compare you issuance date on your licence with the date of the stop. If he does...well I'll be seeing ya

Oh yeah..those bastids hide behind anything, fences, bushes, trees...you name it.

The 'police' units that patrol the bridge from gulf breeze to Pcola beach over here have black tahoes (unmarked)....they get everyone at night.
